It's official: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Kowakujo is set to become one of the best zombie maps ever

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's latest trailer gives Zombies fans every reason to be sure that the Kowakujo map will be an instant classic.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 04 Reloaded starts with new content

Renewal Black Ops 7 Season 4 officially launched on June 25th on both PC and consoles, marking the midpoint of the ongoing season. Highlights of the latest content drop include the Kowakujō Zombies mode map, the Nick Cage Event Pass, and new weapons, as well as some balancing changes and other news.

Kowakujō and its event rewards are the main attraction Black Ops 7 Zombie players, with a new map that offers a unique environment modeled after a feudal Japanese castle in a volcanic region. Kowakujō advances the ongoing story of the mode by sending the crew after the last Shadowsmith as well as the so-called “World Seed” MacGuffin. Several new mobs debut on this map: Hellhounds, Scorched Zombies, and Oni. As usual, the developers have added a new Wonder Weapon, with the patch notes describing it as “classified”. Early reports from Kowakujō players indicate that the weapon in question is a katana. A bomb in the shape of a maneki-neko, a traditional Japanese “lucky cat”, can also be found on the map.

Another major addition is Nicolas Cage, who appears as Operator Nick Cage as part of the latest Black Ops 7 Entry to the event. The pass also includes an AN-94 assault rifle and an executioner's Duet melee weapon. As previous leaks have suggested, the character is modeled after a younger version of Cage, who is 62 in real life but appears to be in his early 30s or 40s in the game. Although he has a long list of iconic action films, his Call of Duty The operator is not based on any particular character, Cage is simply playing himself. The Nick Cage Event Pass will be available for less than a month, with July 23rd being the last day to work on it.

The Season 4 Reloaded patch notes also include a long list of weapon and accessory modifications, with changes affecting the likes of the Maddox RFB, AK-27, Kogot-7, Warden 308, Grimhawk, and Voyak KT-3. This is in line with how mid-season updates typically work, giving developers a way to introduce new content while also adjusting recent changes that may have had unintended effects. Separately, Season 4 of Reloaded marks the beginning of the “Sumer of Action,” the latest Black Ops 7 (and Warzone) Daily login event. The promo serves as a chance to stock up on consumables like Double XP Tokens and Pass Skips, while offering more substantial rewards like the “Catharsis” X9 Maverick Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint.
