How to defeat Crowcaller in Crimson Desert
What to wear before a fight
-
Make sure you know the Triangle + Circle combo for Grapple as this will stun the Crowcaller to avoid your attacks.
-
Bring plenty of healing items, such as soups that use meat and barley, made from cooking pots. These will be a great source of healing for navigating through the three phases.
-
Here the focus should be on upgrading armor and weapons up to level 5.
-
On the top skill tree (blue), grab the Blinding Flash Finisher to stun the Crowcaller and let you unleash a flurry of deadly attacks.
-
Bring a shield, the default will do. This is the fight against distraction.
Crowcaller is a boss fight, which means you should focus on knowing what attacks to parry and counter, while also knowing which attacks to avoid.
Crowcaller Phase #1
-
Crowcaller's first phase consists of two main attacks to watch out for.
-
Crowcaller swings his dual-wielding blades at you, and you'll want to parry (L1 with shield) as the red lights are about to collide with your sword.
-
Parrying Crowcaller's attack will stun him and allow you to land some nasty hits.
-
Crowcaller will also become temporarily invulnerable when he puts his swords to his chest, where he will then fly up and try to divebomb you.
-
To counter a dive bomb, you'll need to throw when he's about to land, which is usually after his first air throw.
-
Stage #1 for Crowcaller is all about learning his parry window, so you don't want to lose any health or healing items during this stage as it gets harder afterwards.
Crowcaller Phase #2
-
Crowcaller's second phase is much faster than his first.
-
Crowcaller's blade swings can still be countered as this is his default attack move, opening him up to counter attacks.
-
However, Crowcaller will now keep his distance and shoot explosive crows on you, so hold L1 to block incoming damage while you wait for him to strike.
-
Crowcaller's flight ability now sees him dash in the air before strikingand will usually repeat this flying move twice, so be prepared to time your side dodges.
-
Crowcaller is more evasive in stage #2 so Triangle + Circle / Y + B will help him catch and temporarily stun him so he can't move away.
-
This is also a great stage for using the Blinding Flash Finisherin which you use L1 + R1 followed by R2 to unleash a barrage of punches at the cost of stamina.
Crowcaller Phase #3
-
Phase #3 returns to the normal battlefield, but Crowcaller is at the peak of his aggression and will fight much more reserved than before.
-
Parrying his attacks, fighting him with Triangle + Circle, and using blinding flash finishers will still be a tactic, but you can eat more healing items in this final phase.
-
The Crowcaller's flight ability can now range from one pre-attack dash to three total attack attempts, but avoiding them is still easy as all you have to do is watch when it is about to dive.
-
The final phase is a more intense version of phase 2, so be alert and watch his aerial attacks as they are the most brutal of his arsenal.
-
Wait for an opportunity to parry and use Blinding Flash and Grapple to stun him.
