Solve all the mysterious energy puzzles of the Witchwoods

There are three Mysterious Energy puzzles to solve Witchwoods area v Crimson desert. This guide will show players where to find them all and discuss how to complete the puzzles to get some artifacts from the Abyss and unlock some new fast travel destinations.

Abyss Nexus by the witches house

The first source of arcane energy in the Witchwoods area is the Abyss Nexus southwest of the witches' house on the Alfonso Estate. If you're standing in front of the Witch's house, walk up the hill behind it and it should be pretty easy to spot. Stand on the plate and push it down to activate it. Once you've done that, you can move your cursor to the Nexus on the world map and quickly get back here without having to ride a horse or spend time sprinting.

If you need more help finding your local Abyss Nexus, look at where the text 'The Witchwoods' is on the map, then head a bit north of where the 'E' is in 'THE'.

Azure Moon Labyrinth at Phoniel Ranch (Abyss Cresset)

To reach the second Arcane Energy source in The Witchwoods, you need to head a bit northeast of the Abyss Nexus by the witches' house. If you go in this direction, you will get to Phoniel Ranch at Alfonso Estate. To get to the Azure Moon Labyrinth, you'll need to enter a nearby shack with a hidden ladder.

You can read this step-by-step guide to solving the labyrinth puzzle, but as a quick fix to activate the Abyss Cresset:

  • Once inside, lean over the wall to avoid the flamethrowers.

  • Pull the handle to open the gate.

  • In the room with the slats on the wall, push them in this order:

    1. P on right side with three projecting lines.

    2. Normal P on right side.

    3. P with two lines on right side.

    4. Normal F on left side.

    5. F on left side with three lines.

  • If you do this successfully, the gate will open and you can grab the Abyss Artifact. You can now use the Abyss Cresset as a useful fast travel point.

Duskwood Ancient Ruins (Abyss Cresset)

Heading directly north of Phoniel Ranch will take you to the last Arcane Energy in The Witchwoods, which is Ancient ruins of Duskwood. You will reach an area that has five mysterious pillars and an altar in front of them. The goal here is to use the altar with your Stab skill and change the height of the pillars to align with the leftmost pillar.

There are four slots on the altar that you can stick your sword into, and each will control a corresponding set of pillars. Once you insert the sword into the slot, the pillars will light up.

  1. Select pillar 2-3-4 and move them halfway up.

  2. Select pillar 3-4-5 and move them up by half as well.

  3. Move columns 2 and 5 together so that all columns are aligned.

Once you solve the puzzle, you can grab the Abyss Artifact and activate the Abyss Cresset as a fast travel point.
