Edition Pokemon Champions ushered in a new era of competitive gaming for the franchise. However, Pokemon Champions it didn't win over some of the fan base due to the lack of several important features at launch, including the absence of a large number of pets and items. While The Pokemon Company has confirmed that more content will be added Champions in line, some of the best competitive Pokémon are currently missing from the game.
Although Mega Evolution's return to the competitive scene is a big draw Pokemon ChampionsThese new Mega Evolutions are not a replacement for the long-standing competitive foundations that have persisted throughout the Gen 9 meta. The last time Mega Evolution existed as a mechanic was in Pokemon franchise, these creatures didn't even exist, so it's unclear how they would fit into the meta Pokemon Champions. As such, these gen 9 meta powerhouses deserve to join Pokemon Champions list sooner rather than later.
Say hello to the best new mega evolution in Pokémon Champions
With the new Mega Evolutions introduced in Legends: ZA finally usable in competitive battles, Pokemon Champions makes one the clear winner.

The box art Legendary of Pokemon Shield is one of the best defensive Pokemon in Gen 9, mainly due to its unique Crowned Shield form, which it gains when you hold the Rusted Shield item. Not only does she have a whopping 140 base Defense, but Zamazenta's Dauntless Shield Ability increases her defense by one stage when she enters battle. What's more, this item can't even be knocked out of Zamazenta, as shapeshifting items are immune to this effect.
Aside from her fantastic defense, what makes Zamazenta so useful Pokemon VGC is his approach to Body Press, a move that calculates its damage based on the user's defense rather than their attack. This move allows Zamazenta to deal STAB Fighting-Type damage without having to worry about Intimidate lowering its attack.

While Urshifu comes in Single Strike or Rapid Strike form, his stats remain the same either way. Additionally, both forms share Urshifu's Unseen Fist Ability, which allows him to bypass moves like Protect and Detect and hit enemies even as they try to block an incoming attack. Coupled with Urshifu's high attack and defense stats, it's clear why this mon is such a terror in competitive combat. Pokemon battles.
Of the two forms that Urshifu can take, Rapid Strike is the preferred option for accessing the Surging Strikes unique move. This move deals STAB Water-Type damage from Urshif's Rapid Strike three times, with each hit being a guaranteed crit. Since Urshifu is the only Pokémon that can learn Surging Strikes, this move will not be available in Champions until Urshifu is missing.

Pokemon Champions already contains most of the starters from the whole Pokemon franchise. However, arguably one of the best starters for competitive battles since Incineroar is missing. Rillaboom's main claim to fame is its ability to create grassy terrain using the grassy surge hidden ability. With grass active, Rillaboom not only heals every turn, but also has 50% boosted grass-type moves.

Rillaboom also makes great use of Grass Glide, a move that gives the user +1 turn priority if Grass Terrain is active. With this increased move priority, Rillaboom can outspeed most opponents despite having medium speed itself. The combination of being able to set grass terrain for free and use it immediately makes Rillaboom a sorely missed creature in Pokemon Champions.

Like Rillaboom, Miraidon's utility is in competition Pokemon Battles are based on his fantastic Hadron Engine ability, which automatically sets up an electric terrain when he enters battle. While active, Electric Terrain increases the power of electric moves by 50%, and Miraidon's Hadron Engine Ability further increases this power by increasing his special attack by 33%. This makes the Miraidon a very fast and powerful special sweeper.
To add to Miraidon's power, its signature move, Electro Drift, gains an additional 33% power when super effective against its target. So Electro Drift not only deals STAB Electric-Type damage that is further boosted by Electric Terrain, but if Miraidon attacks a Water or Flying Pokemon, it deals even more than usual. Miraidon also has access to the Volt Switch, allowing it to easily turn from battle in an unfavorable matchup.

Perhaps the only Pokemon that has come close to Incineroar in its competitive usage is Shadow Rider Calyrex, which essentially combines the best qualities of Spectrier and Calyrex when the two combine into one form to create a competitive monster. Shadow Rider Calyrex has the two highest Special Attack and Speed stats in the franchise, making it hard to stop opponents from sweeping the team. Additionally, he can further boost his special attack with access to Nasty Plot.
In addition to lightning-fast speed and staggering special attack stats, Shadow Rider Calyrex's As One Ability gives him access to Spectrier's Grim Neigh Ability. This ability boosts the user's special attack by one stage when KO's the next Pokémon in battle, essentially creating a situation where Shadow Rider Calyrex can quickly snow one KO on the entire team. However, this also means that both Calyrex and Spectrier would need to be added Pokemon Champions in order to create this setting.
