Call of Duty reveals new Season 3 content for Black Ops 7 and Warzone
As we're now halfway through Season 3, Activision has finally pulled back the curtain on the mid-season update, which was confirmed for release on Thursday, April 30th. More remastered classics are on the way for multiplayer fans. Black Ops 7's Season 3 Reloaded update will see the return of Summit and Hacienda. Additionally, a brand new 6v6/2v2 map known as Onsen will also be added to the game. If that wasn't enough, the new Freerun mode will allow players to test their movement skills. Compete against other operators in 10 different agility and shooting zones to see who can get the best time and earn rewards for completing objectives.
The April 30th update will also bring the arrival of the new Zombies map Call of Duty: Black Ops 7known as the Totenreich. This circular map takes place in an old Norwegian fishing village, first established in the Bronze Age and now hunted in the Dark Aether. But that's not all Zombies fans have to look forward to, as Season 3 Reloaded also adds new enemies and another Wonder Weapon. The Necropincer, an undead Viking warrior spirit doomed to wreak havoc on the Totenreich, wields a trident, stabbing and stabbing opponents who venture too close, while throwing the weapon at more distant foes.
Players will also be able to get their hands on a new Wonder Weapon in Season 3 Reloaded: Jotunn Star. Treyarch describes the weapon as an ancient lantern that hurls deadly fireballs and knocks enemies down with a spiked iron chain. The Jotunn Star can be used to deal heavy damage to enemies with up to five attacks in a row, which also releases an area of spectral energy on impact.
Swing with lantern: A skilled user can swing the weapon in front of them and use a blunt instrument to drop advancing undead.
Flame charge: The Jotunn Star drains the essence of the creatures it eliminates and stores the energy in the weapon. This energy can be stored to provide heat and enable Flame Tendril and Flame Strike attacks.
Flame Tendril: When two or more fully charged torches are used, a cord of fire binds them together and slowly drains the life of anything in its path.
Flame Strike: When sufficiently charged, the energy stored in the Jotunn Star can be discharged as a concentrated explosive fireball that damages and ignites enemies.
