Final Fantasy 14 officially revealed Still cold expansion that will bring players to the fourth bounce when it releases in January 2027. This expansion starts a new multi-expansion story for Final Fantasy 14 titled Saga of the Wicked Realms.
Patch 7.5 from Final Fantasy 14 arrives on April 28, bringing with it the first part of the finale Dawntrail. The second part of the Patch 7.5 story will arrive on September 8th and together they will bridge the gap between Dawntrail and others Final Fantasy 14 extension. The release was expected to be announced at the first Fan Festival in Anaheim, California on April 24.

Final Fantasy 14: Evercold Begins the Godless Realms Saga
The first FanFest has officially started and with it the unveiling Final Fantasy 14other extensions: Still cold. The trailer for this new expansion is set in a bedtime story told to young Au Ra about how the Far Wanderer – their name for the Warrior of Light – saved their world from the creeping winter. The Warrior of Light arrives through a portal to the floating world with Estinien and Alphinaud, whereupon they are attacked by strange crystal structures. Although the Warrior of Light begins as Final Fantasy 14: DawntrailViper at the beginning of the trailer, they become Reaper at the end.
This world is the Fourth Reflection, one of the three worlds beyond the Source Final Fantasy 14 which was never affected by the Ascians when trying to reconnect. The land was described as a paradise, full of beautiful vaulted architecture, massive crystals and lush nature. However, a new type of calamity has come to this world, probably a dark fate, which was hinted at by Halmarut in patch 7.4. Mysterious arcane giants roam the world as an insidious frost suffocates the land below, and only the Warrior of Light can save the Fourth from its end.
The Endwalker expansion ended the Zodiark and Hydaelyn arc Final Fantasy 14 started with An Empire Rebornwhile Dawntrail was considered a reset to a more solid story. Evercold is launching a new storyline for the critically acclaimed MMORPG called Godless Realms Saga. Judging by the title, hints from the current story, and the Evercold setting, this multi-expansion saga may be about visiting other Reflections, such as the Fourth, to rescue and unite them after the fall of Hydaelyn and Zodiark.

Fans can expect to hear more about this expansion over the next two Final Fantasy 14 Fan festivals in Berlin on July 25th and Tokyo on October 31st. This will likely include new jobs, changes to the game system, details on the lore of the main scenario, and an exact release date.
