As the main character Dragon Ball Story, as well as being one of the most amazing and talented martial artists in the entire multiverse, Son Goku has shown mastery over some of the most powerful techniques of all time. From the devastating Kamehameha to the impossibly difficult Ultra Instinct, Goku can utilize many amazing abilities.
As such, he has trained under some of the most experienced masters over the years, leading him to have one of the largest repertoires of techniques in all of Dragon Ball. So in this article, we'll go over the best Goku techniques that most fans have simply forgotten over the years.
Dragon Ball: Every Saiyan's Worst Moment, Ranked
The Saiyans are the main stars of Dragon Ball, but they often had some pretty bad moments throughout the series.
Goku has used telepathy in the past
Useful power
During Dragon Ball Goku, seemingly out of nowhere, has often broken out with incredible powers and abilities, and telepathy is one of them. That's not to say it was never powerful in the series, as characters like Piccolo and Kais use it a lot.
However, Goku was never seen to undergo training for it, but accidentally revealed this power at the end of the fight against Vegeta. After his body was broken to the point where he could not even move or speak, Goku telepathically communicated with Krillin to spare Vegeta's life and let him escape. He hasn't used this ability as much since then.
Goku doesn't actually use solar flare, but he can
A great disorientation move
Solar Flare is one of the best non-lethal attacks in all Dragon Ball as it has been used by many notable figures over the years. The main purpose of this technique is to disorient and distract the enemy by releasing a blinding flash of Ki, which was effective even against some of the strongest enemies in the series.
While typically synonymous with Krillin or Tien, Goku has shown the ability to use it. Of course, the Saiyan used this power very sparingly, but it proved to be a huge help to Goku in his fight against Vegeta, as it blinded the evil Saiyan long enough to allow Goku to follow.

Goku demonstrated skill with the Destructo Disc
Krillin's signature move
Like the Solar Flare, the Destructo Disc is a technique synonymous with Goku's best friend Krillin. Destructo Disc or Kienzan, considered to be one of the most dangerous Ki attacks with unmatched cutting abilities, basically compresses Ki into a very flat disc and acts like a saw capable of cutting even the hardest materials.
This is Krillin's famous finishing move, which has seen quite a bit of success over the years. However, Goku has also shown the ability to conjure his own Destructo Discs, notably against Super Buu in the Buu Saga and then again during the Tournament of Power, providing a large amount of success each time.
Goku used a powerful finger beam
Goku's variation on a villainous move called 'God Shot'
One of the most impressive aspects of Goku as a fighter and martial artist is his ability to copy the attacks of others without having to formally learn them. Of course, the viability of these attacks isn't always the best, but the fact that he can do it quite reliably speaks to his natural talent and affinity for combat.
Such techniques include the Finger Beam. Typically, this move is popular with villains Dragon Ballas they compress their Ki into a small point to release a beam that can pierce through anything and kill their targets. With Goku, his destructive power is more muted, but he is still quite formidable, as seen in his use in the Tournament of Power.
Dragon Ball: The 6 Worst Transformations in the Entire Series, Ranked
Although Dragon Ball has featured a lot of transformations over the years, there are some that just aren't up to par with others.
Goku has telekinetic powers, but rarely uses them
A little used technique
Since the early days of the franchise, Goku has been shown to use various forms of telekinesis, though these were absent from the main story for many years. For example, before burying Vegeta in the Namek Saga after his death, Goku blew up some part of the earth simply by looking at it, showing some telekinetic prowess.
However, this ability seems to have returned with Goku's Mastered Ultra Instinct form as he used telekinesis against Moro and even Gohan in their sparring match by moving them through the air with a simple hand motion. With Moro, he was able to hold the villain in place in order to deliver a powerful blow.
Goku can use a weaker version of Hakai
Destroyer technique
It can be said that the most advanced and strongest technique in the whole Dragon Ball franchise is Hakai or Destruction of the Destroyer Gods. Essentially, this technique allows the Destroyers to erase anything from existence, regardless of size, manufacture, or complexity.
Typically, Hakai is out of reach for ordinary mortals. However, in the Goku Black arc, Goku once again showed his innate talent for learning abilities just by looking at them when he used Hakai on Merged Zamasu. Of course, it wasn't nearly as effective or subtle as Beerus' version since it took a long time to wipe out the villain, but the mere fact that Goku even managed to do it shows how amazing he truly is.
