War plans are a huge game changer for them Diablo 4's endgame in Lord of Hatred. Where Diablo 4In the past, the game's endgame felt somewhat disjointed and overwhelming, making it easy for players to drop out after completing the main campaign. War Plans allow players to track their endgame progress by leveling up endgame activities and spending points to unlock modifier nodes. The best upgrade nodes for The Pit
- Choron's Haste — Pit gains the Haste Mastery objective. When you kill a guard, get +1 chance to upgrade glyphs for every 5 minutes left on the timer.
- Choron's Blessing — Get +1 chance to upgrade glyphs for completing The Pit.
- Heart of stone — Begin The Pit carrying the Heart of Stone, a fragile relic that is dropped after taking permanent damage and shatters when dropped 10 times. While carrying it, enemies can drop bonus progress orbs. After killing the Guardian, Choron's Pedestal will appear. Insert a heart of stone and get +1 chance to upgrade glyphs.
When participating in one of Diablo 4's endgame activity, the player earns XP for leveling this activity through war plans. Diablo 4 allows players to spend tokens earned from leveling an activity on the associated upgrade tree to modify certain aspects of that activity, such as its challenges and rewards. For the Pit of the Artificer, any of the upgrade nodes that offer +1 Glyph Upgrade Chance is an ideal place to start investing points. Nodes like Choron's Haste and Choron's Blessing are essentially free additional glyph upgrades, but Heart of Stone offers a bit more of a challenge, tasking players with carrying a fragile relic all the way through the Pit to the Guardian.
Why investing in additional glyph upgrades should be a priority in Diablo 4 players' war plans
Access to additional glyph upgrades at the start Diablo 4's endgame is a fantastic way to get the endgame build to hit early. Glyphs add modifiers Diablo 4's Paragon Board and upgrading these Glyphs in the Pit increases their range and Paragon Board power, making them a key part of achieving the perfect build. Before Lord of Hatred added War Plans, Pit was the main grind that took up a lot of it Diablo 4game over. Now that players can get even more Glyph upgrades thanks to the Warplan upgrade tree, this should reduce the number of runs players have to go through the pit.
