My hype for Dawnwalker blood it's almost unbearable, especially now that we know it's coming out this September. Dawnwalker looks ready to fill Charmer– in the shape of a hole in my heart, not only because it's an ambitious narrative-driven medieval fantasy RPG, but also because it's being developed by several CD Projekt Red alumni, including The Witcher 3 directed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
Outside the family tree, Dawnwalker blood is appealing because of its rock-solid premise and presentation. Players control Coen, a peasant in a fictional version of the European Carpathians, whose family is captured by a band of tyrannical vampires. In the process, the villains attempt to turn Coen into a vampire, but he ends up becoming a Dawnwalker: human by day, vampire by night. Driven by the desire to save his loved ones, Coen must use his newfound powers to fight the evil undead who have taken over the region, hunting people for sport and subjecting entire cities to regular bloody rituals. Unsurprisingly, this group attracted quite a few enemies in addition to Coen, setting the stage for a full-blown war. And if players are going to participate in this war, they should probably get an idea of who they are up against.

Blood of Dawnwalker is not shy about its Warlock, Ghost of Tsushima Inspirations
Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves' upcoming debut game, The Blood of Dawnwalker, appears to be similar to The Witcher and Ghost of Tsushima.
Brencis
Head Dawnwalker bloodBrencis, the ruling vampire clan, was born Caeso Burrienus Laurentius to a wealthy family in ancient Rome. He was an extremely successful politician during the Golden Age of Rome, poised to rise to the role of consul, the highest elected political position in the land. But his transformation into a vampire deprived him of this lifelong dream.
More than a millennium later, Brencis' hunger for power only intensified. As the head of the vampiric government of Vale Sangora, Brencis rules over many people, almost all of whom are weak and powerless against his honed power. During Blood of DawnwalkerThe main story of Brencis is that he seeks the principality in an attempt to further consolidate and legitimize his power over the people he sees as intrinsically inferior.
Ambrose
Like Coen, Ambrus is a fresh vampire who has only recently become—at least in relation to centuries-old people like Brencis. Described as coming from humble beginnings, Ambrus lived a human life that was “hard, full of pain and humiliation”. While his face is often shrouded in darkness and blood inside Dawnwalker blood's trailers, he appears to have retained much of his human appearance, and bears burn scars around his mouth—potential remnants of his painful mortal life.
Ambrus' scars are hard to see in many shots, but they are confirmed Dawnwalker blood concept art.
As one of Brencis' key allies, Ambrus controls the blood supply throughout Vale Sangora and trades humans for their crimson by-products. Due to his youth, he is eager to please Brencis and leave his mark on Vale Sangora, making him both effective and feverish in his role. So far, he seems poised to be a nice sidekick for Coen: he recently became a vampire with big ambitions, though he uses his powers for selfish or malevolent ends rather than heroic ones. Maybe he's trying to compensate for the “humble” life he led before turning, or maybe he's stalking people after being a victim himself.
Bakir
If he can be judged by his clothing, it's safe to say that Bakir was probably a Hun before he turned into a vampire. This is interesting because it would mean that, like Brencis, Bakir was part of a brutal and ruthless power structure even before he became a vampire: the Huns, like the Mongols, ravaged much of Central Asia during the fourth and fifth centuries. He's probably not Mongol because he's been described as a vampire for centuries and the Mongol Empire wasn't consolidated until about 100 years ago. Dawnwalker blood is taking place.
Bakir is described as particularly terrifying, with the introduction of his character Dawnwalker bloodon the website where it says he “was thirsty for blood even before he was transformed”. After becoming a vampire, kept away from his bloody dreams for centuries, he sees Brencis' mission as a new path to glory, but their ambitions may clash. After all, according to his character description, he “likes to be the center of attention.”
Bakir's motion capture does Jan Błachowicz, former UFC champion.
Xanthe
If Brencis is the honorable leader, Ambrus is the ambitious newcomer, and Bakir is the unstoppable warrior, then Xanthe can be described as the mystic of the group. Xanthe, older than all the other vampires, comes from an ancient Greek island where she served as a priestess. This points to a connection with spirituality and divine pre-transformation, which may partly explain its tangential relationship with reality.
Next to Brencis, Xanthe is the most inhuman of the vampires in appearance, her ever-growing fangs and necrotic skin making her a terrifying and ugly sight. She is decidedly inhuman on a spiritual and emotional level as well, seemingly transcending the limitations of the material world and perhaps even serving as a model for what the future holds for those who live long enough as vampires. Xanthe hears “voices beyond the pale” and seems to understand the “true nature” of the world better than most. So she could offer enough opportunities Dawnwalker blood explore deeper themes and existential questions.
You can expect to learn a lot more about these characters once you actually get your hands on the game, as Brencis' lackeys play a major role in the game's story and structure. Due to Dawnwalker bloodIn a non-linear story, you'll have the opportunity to delve into these antagonists on a deeper and more multi-faceted level through various related quests and activities designed to provide compelling narrative content. They're certainly a diverse bunch, and so far they seem like the very picture of intimidation and authoritarianism, so it'll be interesting to get to know them – and probably kill them.
