The strongest professional heroes kill villains

For Heroes in My Hero Academia they risk their lives every time they don their costumes. This risk is usually attributed to villains who don't mind killing others with their Quirks. Despite having some pretty destructive Quirks, villains rarely kill professional heroes, but in the course of MHAIn the story, several strong professional heroes were killed by villains.

Several of the major pro heroes that were killed were destroyed by the same person, meaning there was nothing left for burial. Others were fatally injured by more physical means. Some of these heroes weren't as popular, but several top-rated heroes also fell to villains, including the former #1. In each of these cases, the hero died in the line of duty, and in some cases, they sacrificed themselves so others could live.

Sand Hero: Snatch has never been popular enough to make it into the top 20 of Japan's Pro Hero rankings. Considering that he mainly worked as a bodyguard for the Police, this is somewhat understandable. Despite his lack of popularity, Snatch's power was highly valued as he was tasked with accompanying Kai Chisaki, a Yakuza boss who possessed the Overhaul Quirk, one of the most destructive Quirks in My Hero Academia.

Snatch was able to turn the upper half of his body into sand with his Sandstorm Quirk, which is one of the reasons why he died. When the League of Villains attacked the police escort, Snatch tried to fend off Tomura, Dabi, and Mr. Compresso at the same time. Snatch countered Tomura's Decay and matched Dabi's flames. Unfortunately, while Mr. Compress was fighting Dabi, he compressed the upper half of Snatch's body into the marble. Some of Dabi's flames were pressed into the same marble. With only half of his body left and engulfed in intense flames, Snatch likely died within seconds of being compressed.

R-Rated Hero: Midnight was very popular due to her curvaceous figure and flirtatious personality. At UA High School, she taught modern hero art history and was well liked by the students. Midnight had limited screen time, but in season 6 of the anime, she became one of them My Hero Academiabest female characters She had the power to put others to sleep using a special aroma produced by her Somnambulist Quirk, and was a decent fighter when using her whip and fan.

Midnight died during the war with the Paranormal Liberation Front. After taking out several villains, she and several other professional heroes attempted to slow down the Gigantomachy's rampage. While she was in the air, Mr. Compress used his Quirk to throw construction debris at the midnight group. Debris crashed into her, knocking her to the ground. She got up despite being seriously injured and died fighting another group of villains. Her death was especially sad because her body was found by her students.

Eye-Gun Hero : X-Less was never considered a top tier professional hero, but that didn't stop him from joining the Jaku Hospital Raid Team led by Endeavor. With his Laser Quirk, he could shoot laser beams from his right eye. These lasers could easily destroy machines and were powerful enough to temporarily injure High-End Nomu.

During the raid on the Jaku hospital, Tomura Shigaraki was left near-death in a pool of sustaining fluid, but when X-Less destroyed one of the nearby machines, he accidentally caused an electrical surge that brought Tomura back from the brink. X-Less tried to shoot Tomura, but he wasn't fast enough. After Tomura grabbed his face, his Decay Quirk caused X-Less to disintegrate into nothing but dust. To make matters worse, Tomura stole X-Lesse's cape and used it as his own.

Mr. Nighteye

Sir Nighteye was one of them My Hero Academia's best sidekicks as he helped All Might become the Symbol of Hope by acting as the brains of his operations. He helped train Lemillion, who became Japan's #1 pro hero. He also trained Izuku Midoriya, MHAmain protagonist and future hero #4. Sir Nighteye wielded the Foresight Quirk, which allowed him to see someone else's future from a third-person perspective. This allowed him to become a very effective hand-to-hand combatant.

Sir Nighteye died during the Shie Hassaikai Arc while fighting Kai Chisaki. At first he was able to dodge Kai's attacks, but when he reached his limit and lost the use of Foresight, he was fatally impaled by spikes created by Kai's Overhaul Quirk. Sir Nighteye survived long enough to get to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries after saying a tearful goodbye to All Might and Lemillion.

Shield Hero: Crust

During the Paranormal Liberation War, Shield Hero: Crust ranked 6th, which is pretty impressive since he was a very emotional man with a primarily defensive Quirk. His body could form hexagon-shaped shields resembling stone, and he used these shields to protect himself and others. These shields were durable enough to withstand High-End Nomu's attacks, and when necessary, Crust turned his shields into melee weapons or hurled them at enemies.

Crust was a noble and selfless hero until the very end. He was part of the group that raided the Jaku Hospital and made it all the way to the lab that held Tomura Shigaraki and the High-End Nomus. Seeing all the heroes, Tomura unleashed Decay, hoping to kill them all. This proved again that Decay had one of the most overpowered Quirk Awakenings. Seeing that Eraser Head was in danger of disintegrating, Crust sacrificed himself by stopping and throwing his shield at him. Crust was unrepentant as he disintegrated with a grin on his face while giving Eraser Head a thumbs up.

Nana Shimura was Tomura's paternal grandmother and the seventh user of One For All. It is unclear what her official rank was, but she was able to fight powerful enemies thanks to the superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and durability that One For All gives her. Unfortunately, she couldn't use any of the previous user's Quirks. She also possessed the Float Quirk, which allowed her to float in mid-air.

Nana was constantly hunted by All For One, who personally killed a total of six One For All users. During All Might's senior year at the school, Nana fought All For One alongside the younger All Might and Gran Torino, but the villain proved too powerful. She forced Gran Torino to take All Might to safety while distracting All For One, who choked her to death shortly after. Fortunately, Nana was able to transfer One For All to All Might before she died.

Star and stripe

Star and Stripe was the #1 Pro Hero in the United States during the main game MHA story. She was saved by All Might as a child and from that moment on she wanted to be a hero just like him. She was one of the few people All For One considered a threat. She mastered the New Order, which is arguably the most powerful reality-altering Quirk. Through physical touch, she could bestow new properties on any living or nonliving thing

When the Japanese Society of Heroes collapsed after the events of the Paranormal War of Liberation, Star and Stripe flew to Japan with several fighters to help stabilize the country. She fought Tomura in the air and would have defeated him if not for his superhuman regeneration. During the battle, Star and Stripe hesitated as one of her friends was in the crossfire and Tomura grabbed her face and activated Decay. The star disintegrated, but destroyed many of Tomura's accumulated Quirks in the process.
