IN Resident Evil 4 remake, a rating system measures player performance based on playtime and save data. The faster you complete the game, the higher your rank will be.

Metrics work differently in Resident Evil 4 remake's Mercenaries where you fight waves of enemies. In this mode, your rank is determined by your total kills and combos, ranging from A and B to S, S+ and S++.

*NG stands for New Game. It means that the rank cannot be obtained in New Game Plus (NG+) where you carry weapons and can use special weapons.

**On Pro difficulty, getting an S+ level also requires a limit of 15 manual saves in total.

Rating requirements vary by game difficulty. For example, on assisted difficulty, completion Resident Evil 4 a remake in less than four hours gives you an S rank. However, to get an S+ rank, you have to complete the campaign in less than four hours in a new game without special weapons.

IN Resident Evil 4 remakeProfessional difficulty includes a save limit to earn an S+ rank. This restriction applies to both the main campaign and the campaign Separate ways DLC. It means that you cannot use typewriters to store more than the specified number. In the main game limit is 15 saves. This is reduced to 10 saves in the DLC.

There is no save limit to get additional positions.

  2. Open the “Results” tab.

  3. Press X on Xbox (Square on PlayStation)

  4. See the requirements in the table that appears

If the rank has a “Playthrough: 1” requirement, it means you must be on a new save.

There are 21 prizes that the player can unlock through ranks. Four of them are unique utility outfits that improve Leon's stats (Resident Evil 4Chicken hat, cat ears, fox tails and deer antlers and two unique weapons (hand cannon and Chicago sweeper). The rest are outfits and accessories.

Mercenary rank requirements

With the 1.04 update came a new DLC that added Mercenaries mode to the game Resident Evil 4 remake. This mode allows the player to try to survive hordes of enemies and get ranked based on the number of kills and combos they get. Unlike the campaign, the game time has less impact on the mercenary ranking system and is mainly determined by “enemies killed” and “highest combo” scores.

With the addition Separate ways DLC to Resident Evil 4Mercenaries mode has received four new rank rewards. Here's what players will earn by getting A, S, S+ and S++ ratings in this updated survival mode:

  • Rank with Leon unlocks Luis.

  • Rank with Luis unlocks Krauser.

  • Rank with Krauser is awarded by HUNK

  • Completing any map with any rank with Ada unlocks Wesker.

  • S rank in all stages with Ada unlocks her Dressed version.

  • S rank in all stages with Leon will unlock his Pinstripe version.
