The last anime Akira Toriyama worked on before he died, Dragon Ball DAIMA it felt like a love letter to the whole Dragon Ball franchise. Dragon Ball DAIMA mixed the original Dragon Ball's atmosphere and adventure, p Dragon Ball Z's action in a story designed to capture the nostalgia of the '90s kids grew up with Dragon Ball GT as the end of the series.
It features the best animation and art direction of all Dragon Ball anime, DAIMA is nothing short of fantastic and in many ways a better sequel DBZ than Dragon Ball Super. Now almost two years since the anime premiered, Crunchyroll has finally announced a release date Dragon Ball DAIMA fans have been waiting ages.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Season 1 will be released on Blu-ray on August 11, 2026. The Blu-ray release will compile all 20 episodes Dragon Ball DAIMA. Dragon Ball DAIMA – The Complete Season – will retail for $55.98 on the Crunchyroll Store, compared to $69.98 on Amazon. Similarly, Dragon Ball DAIMAThe limited edition Blu-ray will retail for a discounted price of $75.98 via Crunchyroll versus $94.98 on Amazon and other retailers.

Notably, Crunchyroll is clamoring for a Blu-ray release Dragon Ball DAIMA A complete season, not a complete series. While Dragon Ball DAIMA Season 2 was not announced, the anime ended on a cliffhanger with the reveal of more Tertian Oculus. The main cast also hasn't left the demon realm yet, leaving room for more adventures. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot'with Dragon Ball DAIMA The DLC even went out of its way to set up a sequel to the anime.

There is no reason two Dragon Ball anime can't run concurrently, especially since then Dragon Ball DAIMA and Dragon Ball Super scratching a very different itch for the series. Although nothing is confirmed yet, the chances of a Dragon Ball DAIMA Season 2 is still high and the anime deserves a sequel.
