On May 16, 2026 Netflix is streaming its first ever live MMA eventheld by MVP (Most Valuable Promotions). Although die-hard fans can watch the Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry or Francis Ngannou with Philip Lins, the main attraction is a superfight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. At one point, both were the most famous female fighters in the world and helped push WMMA into the mainstream at a time when the sport was considered male-only in the UFC.
Why should the gaming community care? Well, both Carano and Rousey have extensive histories with acting, albeit the former Red alert 3 appearance is probably better known than its history. But strip away Rousey's Olympic pedigree, MMA and WWE heritage, and “Badest Woman on the Planet” persona, and you will find a die-hard lifelong gamer with a deep love for Pokemon and WoW.
