7 Most Overpowered Goku Techniques, Ranked

Goku may not be the strongest character Dragon Ball it already is, but it's still one of the most—if not and the most talented fighters in the entire series. Goku is a fighting genius who can learn almost any move just by seeing it once. Goku constantly trains his body to break through its limits and has acquired some extremely powerful techniques in his many battles. More than any other fighter Dragon BallGoku can effortlessly handle attacks and abilities even those stronger than him.

Now that Goku can use God Ki and has finally mastered Ultra Instinct, his most powerful techniques are completely overpowered. Goku can use a transformation designed by the Angels for Angles, the Gods of Destruction's most powerful attack, and a litany of unique moves he's learned from his many masters and battles with the most powerful fighters in the multiverse. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before Goku reclaims his place as the strongest Saiyan v Dragon Ball Super.

Kaioken doubles Goku's power level to minimum

Goku learned the Kaioken while training with King Kai for his fight with Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga. Despite being completely outclassed by Vegeta in his base form, Kaioken allowed Goku to close the gap by even surpassing Vegeta during their battle. At its absolute weakest level, Kaioken acts as a doubler to Goku's power level, but can be pushed to x20 for absolutely massive gains.

IN Dragon Ball SuperGoku mixes Super Saiyan Blue with Kaioken x20 to amazing results. In the Tournament of Destroyers, SSBKKx20 gives Goku more than enough power to overpower Hit. In the Tournament of Power, Goku uses Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x20 against some of the strongest warriors in the multiverse, allowing him to fight God Tier opponents while still learning how to trigger Ultra Instinct.

Goku learned Instant Transmission while training with Pybara on the planet Yardrat after defeating Frieza. Only three other characters Dragon Ball have used Instant Transmission before – Perfect Cell, Kid Buu, and Vegeta – but Goku is the only character who can effectively use Instant Transmission in battle. During the Cell Games, Goku outmaneuvers Cell with a brilliant Instant Transfer Kamehameha that would have killed him if not for Cell's regenerative abilities.

In Granolah the Survivor Saga, Goku uses Instant Transmission to lure Gas from planet to planet, trapping him far away from Planet Cereal in a gambit that gives him, Vegeta, and Granolah plenty of time to prepare for their next battle. Goku's mastery of Instant Transmission is so refined that the other characters consider it his signature ability in the universe. If it weren't for Instant Transmission, the heroes would be long dead.

Goku's Transcendent Kamehameha Shook the Demon Realm

Unless Dragon Ball Super: Beerus makes changes to bridge the gap between canons, Dragon Ball DAIMA is currently set up in an alternate follow-up from Dragon Ball Super. IN Dragon Ball DAIMAGoku eventually unlocks Super Saiyan 4 thanks to Neva's help during his final battle with Gomah. Super Saiyan 4 Goku is an absolute force whose raw power far surpasses Gomah's. The only reason Goku doesn't defeat Gomah himself is because the Demon King is functionally immortal thanks to the Tertian Oculus.

During the fight with Gomah, Goku charges up what is arguably the strongest Kamehameha in the entire series. The Transcendent Kamehameha channels all of Goku's Super Saiyan 4 energy into one of the most powerful Ki attacks in the series. The Transcendent Kamehameha is literally felt throughout the Demon Realm, putting it on par with the universal level punches that Goku and Beerus threw at each other. Dragon Ball Super. If Gomah wasn't invincible, Goku would have been gutted on the spot.

The Spirit Bomb has infinite potential

Along with Kaioken, Goku learned the Spirit Bomb while training with King Kai in another world. Unlike the traditional attack, the Spirit Bomb only uses some of Goku's Ki as part of its full power. Instead, the Spirit Bomb collects Genki – life energy – from all living things around it, be it humans, animals or nature itself. In the Saiyan Saga, Goku can only gather enough Genki to form a small sphere. By the end of the year Dragon Ball ZGoku collects so much Genki from Earth that the Spirit Bomb is basically the size of a star.

IN Dragon Ball Super The anime version of the Tournament of Power, Goku uses the Spirit Bomb, which channels Genki from the strongest warriors in Universe 7, to try to defeat Jiren. Jiren is able to throw the Spirit Bomb back at Goku, but the sheer amount of Genki inside the attack triggers Goku to unlock the Ultra Instinct Sign for the first time, finally giving him the edge over Jiren in the tournament. As long as there is Genki to draw upon, the Spirit Bomb has infinite potential and can destroy even the strongest enemy.

Once Dragon Ball Super 2 airs, Goku will be stronger than ever, but it won't take long for his two biggest rivals to catch up and surpass UI.

A true Ultra Instinct can stack Super Saiyan forms for greater power boosts

Ultra Instinct is as much a technique as it is a transformation—that's the main theme of the Granolah the Survivor saga, where Whis tries to teach Goku to treat Ultra Instinct more like a movement than a form. While fighting Granolah and Gas, Goku finally understands what Whis is saying. When Goku clears his mind and heart, he can utilize Ultra Instinct abilities while using his various Super Saiyan forms. This allows Goku to gain a power boost multiplier from his most powerful God forms while gaining all the benefits of Ultra Instinct.

Later, when Goku fights Gas, he finally learns how to use True Ultra Instinct whenever he wants. Goku no longer needs to have a pure heart or mind to trigger Ultra Instinct. According to the manga version Dragon Ball Super: Super HeroGoku is back to using Perfected Ultra Instinct, which can only mean one thing: his mastery of True Ultra Instinct has grown so much that he can now stack PUI on top of it to create the ultimate transformation/technique hybrid. This is evidenced by the fact that Gohan Beast knocks Goku out of Perfected Ultra Instinct, only for Goku to immediately PUI without issue.

Perfected Ultra Instinct (Giant Form) is the pinnacle of the UI's abilities

Goku's Perfected Ultra Instinct Giant form versus Earth Absorbed Moro.

Goku finally mastered Ultra Instinct during the Moro Saga, giving him access to Perfected Ultra Instinct. One of the most bizarre techniques associated with Perfected Ultra Instinct is Goku's Spirit Avatar. By expelling all of his Ki, Goku creates a massive behemoth made of energy that easily overwhelms the planet Moro – who has absorbed more than enough energy to threaten every single being in the multiverse. The only thing that hinders Goku's Giant Form is how unstable it is.

At the same time, if Goku has enough energy, he can use his Spirit Avatar to greatly increase his power level. When Planet Moro finally becomes too powerful to defeat, Vegeta uses Forced Spirit Fission to transfer Uub's Ki to Goku. This makes Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku so powerful that he is able to use his Spirit Avatar in conjunction with the punch to create an extremely powerful finishing blow that kills Mora on the spot.

Hakai can erase any opponent from existence

Goku uses Hakai on Zamasu

IN Dragon Ball Super The manga version of the Goku Black Saga, Goku breaks out what is quite possibly the most powerful technique in the franchise: the Hakai. Hakai is an attack of pure destruction, capable of wiping out anyone and anything in existence with little concentration. Goku's use of Hakai is particularly impressive for a few different reasons.

First of all, Goku has never trained in using destructive energy. He simply saw Beerus use Hakai once and replicated it on the fly, successfully improvising the God of Destruction attack. Second, and most importantly, Goku's Hakai it works. Goku almost erases Fused Zamasu – an immortal being – from existence. The only reason he fails is because Zamasu is using Mai as a hostage and Goku doesn't have the heart to kill her.
