How to make bronze in Romestead

There are several levels of items Romesteadfrom copper, bronze and iron. Bronze is located right in the middle and will mark your progression from the starting biome to the desert biome, the next area you need to explore on your adventure. Bronze items are a significant upgrade, especially when it comes to tools.

You will need both Tin and copper bars for making bronze bars, which can then be turned into anything you need such as nails, armor or weapons. Tin is only found in the desert, an area where mobs are more difficult and the environment is generally more hostile.

How to find the desert

To get to the desert, you'll have to follow the great path that leads away from the place where you were born. This is marked on the map with a dark line. Follow the road all the way until you come to some sort of fortress entrance – here you will have to defeat several Satyr enemies and destroy the defenses.

This is pretty tricky, especially as a solo player, so you'll need to come prepared.

I had the best item level I could get from the previous biome so a complete set of leather armor and upgraded weapons. Even so, I found the enemies quite difficult. Don't even bother the vultures. I still haven't found a way to beat them.

Just like a quick PSA: you will you definitely want to prepare a cart to take with you into the desert. There are some spare carts in the fort you attack to enter the desert, but since you can stitch them together multiple times, it helps you get the can back to your base.

Unfortunately, there is there is currently no way to move resources via altar teleportationmeaning you'll have to manually carry the raw materials all the way back to your main base – unless you've set up a blacksmith in your second city.

Long distance shipping is why I wish I had spent more time considering where I wanted to start my city. I'll be more careful where I place the city the second time I play. Closer to the dirt, closer to the desert, closer to lots of water.

Where to find tin

Tin is found throughout the desert biome. You are looking for a new piece of ore with a silver colored mineral. The deeper you go into the desert, the more likely you are to find it. I have found pieces of tin along rocky cliff outcrops or near Satyr camps.

Eventually, overall you don't really need much tin. The combination ratio of tin and copper together is pretty good for making bronze, and once you have the basic items you won't need them for anything other than arrows and making a full set of bronze armor for the god quest.

Combination of tin and copper to create bronze

Making tin bars is the same as making copper, so just throw it into the furnace in front of the blacksmith and cover it with coal or lumber. Once you have the tin rods, you can combine tin and copper bars to make bronze bars. Your blacksmith must be at least level three to make bronzemeaning you may have to queue some lower level crafting tasks to level her up.
