There have been many studio closures in recent years, but the hardest hit was the closure of Bluepoint in February of this year. Not only did it hit Bloodborne fans right in the gut, the last hope of the fabled remake and PC port ever going up in smoke, but it was sad to see one of the most accomplished remake studios close its doors for reasons beyond its control.
When the news broke, a wave of grief hit the industry, which actually affected Ico and Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda as well. Of course, Ueda had previously worked with Bluepoint on the Shadow of the Colossus remake and apparently had “no notice” of the studio's closure and heard about it when everyone else did.
Fumito Ueda was “very sad” to hear of Bluepoint's closure
This was in an interview with IGN about Ueda's next project, Gen Atlus. When asked how he felt about Bluepoint closing, he said it was “very sad” as he had hoped to work with the studio again on another project.
“We're not directly connected to any project, so I heard about it at the same time as you, probably on the news, and it was disappointing and sad,” says Ueda. “I was hoping that maybe there would be an opportunity to work with them on something in the future. So yeah, it's very sad to hear the news.”

With The Closure Of Bluepoint Games I have officially lost all faith in PlayStation
Sony Bluepoint Games went out of business after acquiring the studio a few years ago.
When asked what exactly that project could be, Ueda acknowledged that Bluepoint is known for making “really good remakes” and that “maybe Ico” would be a good project.
Of course, this could just be a game that Ueda blew off his mind, what with the fact that it's the only game he's been involved with that hasn't had a remake that could probably use one. That being said, a Bluepoint remake of Ico would probably get slapped, and we can now add that to the long list of reasons why it's absolutely insufferable that the studio was shut down in the first place.
