The November 19, 2026 release date for GTA 6 is now even firmer than ever. There will almost certainly be no more delays at this stage as Rockstar has now opened pre-orders for what will likely end up being the biggest video game launch of all time. Since you can now pre-order GTA 6, it means we finally know how much it costs, what's included in each edition, and what bonuses you'll get for buying before release day. Everything you need to know about all of this and more is below.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Price and Content
The big news is of course the price. The world has been theorizing about this for years, and now Rockstar has confirmed that it will indeed be the second game to have an $80 Standard Edition after Mario Kart World. It could have been worse as some thought Rockstar could go all out and charge $100.
This was saved for the Ultimate Edition, which is the only other edition of GTA 6 available for pre-order. There is no collector's edition and no suggestion from Rockstar that there will be one later. For the extra $20 you'll have to pay for GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, you'll actually get a lot of in-game extras, all of which are listed below.
Exclusive GTA 6 Ultimate Edition
-
'95 Grotti Cheetah (vehicle)
-
Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers (Guns)
-

-

It's unclear exactly how the Ultimate Edition content, like the shops, will be kept exclusively for the more expensive version of the game. They will probably still be there in standard edition; you simply won't be able to access or use them.
GTA 6 preload details and pre-order bonuses
There will be plenty of you who don't need an incentive to pre-order GTA 6 to be ready to head out for the second one when it finally arrives on November 19th. Regardless, Rockstar will throw in some bonuses if you pick up your copy before release day. It's been called the Vintage Vice City Pack and everything you get with it is listed below.
Every GTA 6 pre-order bonus
-
'55 Vapid Stainer (Vehicle and Garage)
-
Outfits and hairstyles (appearance)
-
Channel The Original Kingpin (weapon pattern)
In addition to some exclusive in-game items, those who pre-order GTA 6 will actually be able to ensure they'll be among the first to ever play the game, as Rockstar has already noted that pre-loaders will begin on November 12. That's a full week before the game's release. Of course, it won't take a week to download (unless you're still using dial-up), but while the file size hasn't been revealed yet, it's probably safe to assume it'll be well north of 100GB.
GTA 6 will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and you can pre-order the edition you like on the platform you plan to play on via the links below.
Where to pre-order GTA 6
GTA 6 physical copies
Whether you're planning to play on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, physical copies of GTA 6 will be available for pre-order and will be added to this guide once listings go live. That's good news. The bad news is that these physical copies will be boxed codes.
It might seem like an odd tactic for Rockstar to take such an anti-consumer step and not put their game on disc, but while they haven't explicitly explained why they're doing it, the reason is almost certainly to avoid leaks. If there are physical copies of GTA 6, then there is a high probability that the game will be leaked before the release day, no matter how careful Rockstar is. Making it digital and the codes in the boxes just means that Rockstar has more control over the situation and there is very little chance of anything leaking about the game in the days and weeks leading up to release.
GTA 6 online
The main reason GTA 5 has stayed relevant for 13 years and continued to sell five million copies every quarter is GTA Online. Tens of millions of people have actually settled into this game. This makes migrating those millions to a brand new world in a brand new game an incredibly difficult task, and it remains unclear exactly how Rockstar plans to do it.
While pre-orders are now live and the November 19th release date is approaching, we're still none the wiser as to exactly what GTA Online will look like in the GTA 6 era. All we know so far is that either GTA 6 won't have online functionality at launch, or Rockstar plans to make the online component of the game something that players have to purchase separately.
We know this because the fine print in GTA 6 is tucked away as confirmation that the game is strictly single-player. You will be playing this game alone, even if you don't feel like it, because literally millions of others will be playing it at the same time all over the world. Stay tuned for updates on what's next for GTA Online.
