The New World is known as the most treacherous of all seas in the One piece world. The New World, known as the second half of the Great Line, makes the first half of this ocean feel like paradise, which is why many people often long for this part of the ocean once they enter the New World. It is the scariest of all the oceans in the One piece world, and as a result it is no surprise to us that only a handful of individuals actually survive here. In fact, there are quite a few incredible pirates who met their demise in the New World or had their crews destroyed in this sea after entering this ocean.

Basil Hawkins came from the North Blue and was a pretty incredible fighter. Known as a member of the Worst Generation, Basil Hawkins was always destined to make it big in the New World. Unfortunately, it didn't go ideal for him. He eventually betrayed his alliance with Kid and surrendered to Kai as a result.
Hawkins then headlined the Beast Pirates and this time saw it through to the very end. Hawkins fought against Killer in the Onigashima War. However, despite his incredible stack of tricks, he ended up defeated and is now potentially dead.

Captain Kid's right-hand man, fans know that Killer is quite a powerful individual. We got a glimpse of his abilities in Wano from Eiichiro Oda and it was nothing short of stunning. Killer ended up defeating Hawkins in his final battle; however, when he faced the red-haired emperor, he had absolutely no chance and was completely destroyed. Killer was sent to the bottom of the ocean by Shanks and his pirate crew and his fate remain unknown to this day.

The Sky Demon, Doflamingo was always an incredibly powerful individual and definitely had the charm of someone who wanted to become a pirate king as well. While Doflamingo was certainly strong, gaining tremendous abilities and using Haki and Devil Fruit abilities like few others, he was still not ready for the New World.
When the straw pirates came to Dressrosa, his criminal act was beyond human imagination before he was finally crushed. It was clear to the fans that Doflamingo did not stay on this ocean for long. Luffy defeated him and was arrested by the Navy. Since then he has been locked up in a high security prison called Impel Down. His entire crew was also decimated, leaving him with no successor to carry on his work. As a result, the Donquixote Pirates were no more, which meant that Doflamingo himself ceased to exist as a pirate and, despite his abilities, eventually became one of the victims of the giant ocean known as the New World.

Hailing from South Blue, Eustass Kid is known to be quite a strong individual and a pirate who comes from the worst generation, just like Luffy. Kid was instrumental in the Wano War where he ended up facing Big Mom, and along with Law was able to defeat her. After the war, Wano Kid successfully obtained a bounty of 3 billion berries.
However, none other than Shanks gave him a reality check. When Kid faced Shanks, he got one shot by the Red Emperor. At the same time, the Giant Pirates helped Shanks destroy the Kid Pirates ship, and his pirate crew faced what can only be described as total annihilation.

The Surgeon of Death, Law, was a very notorious pirate in the North Blue. At some point he made it to the Great Line along with his entire Heart Pirates crew. Law has been pretty strong and his recent performance at Wano is proof of that.
After Wano, he received a berry reward of 3 billion; yet he was eventually decimated by Yonko Blackbeard. Although he put up a decent fight against Blackbeard, he was unable to defeat him. As a result, Law, his flagship, and his pirate crew were destroyed by the Teach, with most of them sent to the bottom of the ocean.

Big Mom was a former Sea Emperor who ruled the New World for many years. She had successfully searched for One Piece there for decades. In the Wano arc, Big Mom ended up fighting Kid and Law, and they defeated her by combining their incredible powers and overcoming all limits.
Although Big Mom was strong, her downfall was inevitable. With a new age comes the rise of the strong and the fall of the mighty. Big Mom was not spared the tide of the new era and was eventually overthrown from Onigashima. She may have died, but her fate is still unknown.

The strongest creature in the world, Kaido, is another fighter who ended up falling in the New World. After the Rocks Pirates disbanded, Kaido settled in the land of Wano and gained great power in the time since. He ruled Wano for over 20 years and then battled Luffy.
When Kaido fought Luffy, he realized that Luffy was Joy Boy and that he couldn't do much to defeat him. When Luffy learned all kinds of advanced haki and even awakened his devil fruit, Kaido had the writing on the wall and the fans could clearly see it. Kaid's entire crew was eventually decimated. While some were arrested in Wano, we do not know where the other survivors of this crew are. However, Kaido himself was sent to the bottom of an underwater volcano, which then erupted violently. Kaido might already be dead.
