At any given moment, there should be an absurd amount of PC games available for free, including small indie releases and massive triple-A titles. On the console side, PlayStation owners can look forward to New PS Plus gameswhile Xbox continues to expand Game Pass library.

With the sheer number of giveaways, along with many of them only lasting a few days, keeping track of everything can be pretty exhausting. So this article tries to simplify the process to make sure you don't miss out on any free June games that you really want.

I'm adding PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass to finish, and if they announce anything, I'll add Nintendo Switch Online. They're not actually free, but there's no harm in listing them. EA Play and Ubisoft+ Premium not included.

Weird co-op driven 3D platformer, IQ under construction it forces you and your friends to work as a unit by sticking close to each other, which is a pretty interesting concept for a multiplayer game. The title doesn't have the best reviews on Steam, but it's still worth checking out for any group looking for something a little different.

Autumn moonrise

Don't be put off by its “Positive” rating on Steam; Autumn moonrise is a good puzzle game with a unique art style and emphasis on atmosphere. When it comes to reviews, 88% are positive reviews and the lower than usual rating is due to the small sample size.

Drift86

A well-respected indie racer, drift86, stands out as a free-to-play game on Steam for the simple reason that it's not a completely unknown property with about 12 reviews. Although not a big name by any means, the game has nearly 2,000 reviews, most of which are positive.

Gifts in the Epic Games Store

Calico

Free Mystery Games Event on Epic Games Store celebrates the start of June with two indie darlings that probably don't appear in too many people's libraries. Calico magical girls and cats will take off because you play the former and run a cafe for the latter. Yep, this is a cozy business sim with a magical touch, along with an eye-catching art style that takes some getting used to. Create your own magical girl too.

Lonestar

Epic's next weekly giveaway is Lonestara deckbuilding sci-fi roguelike that puts players in the role of bounty hunters tasked with tracking down the worst criminals in the universe. Along with a great presentation, Lonestar it has an addictive quality that so many roguelikes AND deck-builders have.

Northgard (mobile)

Although not as heavily promoted, the Epic Games Store recently added weekly free mobile games with Northgrad be a current candidate. You'll have to go through a few steps to install the game, but it's worth the effort.

Bunny boys

After a free launch on Steam Bunny boys now going through the same process on the Epic Games Store. One of those “parkour/jump your way up floating assets” games that are kind of popular, or at least used to be.

Amazon Luna (requires Amazon Prime membership)

Free games for GOG, Epic Games Store and Amazon Games

Amazon Prime Gaming, now known as Amazon Luna, is arguably the best free gaming platform on the PC scene, but it tends to be forgotten because it's such a small part of the subscription service. If you have Amazon Prime, you can claim a lot of benefits right now, including some pretty big names like Mafia 2: Definitive Edition. Amazon adds new titles sporadically, so keep an eye on those things.

Once you pick up the game through Amazon Luna, it's yours – no Amazon Prime or Amazon Luna subscription required to play.

Itch.io

Free indie games that might not be on Steam

While Itch.io doesn't garner as much attention as Steam or the Epic Games Store, it also regularly gives away free games. These bounties are intended solely to promote indie creators and are always small titles that wouldn't otherwise garner much attention.

IndieGala free games

Blood and Zombies and Carlos the Taco

Blood and zombies it's been free for a few months now, and it looks like it's going to stay that way for now. A co-op zombie shooter, this game is a small entry into the oversaturated genre, but it might be worth checking out if you're after something different Left 4 Dead 2.

You can also pick up Mr. Brocco & Co2D side scroller with simple art style and gameplay.

“Waka-Waka” Gaming Club & Carlos the Taco

Another free IndieGala game with no expiration date, Game Club “Waka-Waka” allows you to manage your own game store. A simple concept that doesn't necessarily do anything new, but works well enough.

Carlos Taco is a silly 2D platformer that obviously doesn't take itself too seriously. It includes shooting action that complements the platforming.

Brave little cloud

Finally, Brave little cloud is another 2D platformer with colorful visuals, a cute protagonist, and straightforward level design. It's nothing amazing, but it's worth adding to your library.
