This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Shinjuku Showdown Arc.
Key things
- Cursed Shrine technique in JJK belongs to Sukuna and offers powerful abilities like Shatter, Split, Divine Flames and more.
- Yuji becomes a formidable shrine user in JJK's Shinjuku Showdown arc and manifests a unique version within his domain expansion.
- Yuta and Megumi also master the Shrine technique in JJK and show impressive skills, but Sukuna remains the strongest user.
The Shrine, also known as Mizushi, is one of the most powerful cursed techniques that fans have seen JJK. This technique belongs to none other than Ryomen Sukun, the King of Curses. Fans know that this technique is powerful enough to slice and dice almost anything in its path. The shrine is more complicated than it seems. It's basically a kitchen for the user to use, where they can use Sharp Knives to dismantle targets in one move and Cleave to tear apart enemies on contact, with the power and cutting ability depending on the amount of Cursed Energy used.

Sukuna was the strongest villain in JJK. It took an army of powerful characters to take him down.
The shrine also grants the user access to a furnace where they can cook their opponents with thermobaric blasts. Obviously, Shrine is a powerful ability and it definitely has more than one user JJK.
4 Ryomen Sukuna
King of curses
The best Shrine user the fans have seen JJK is quite easily Sukuna. Sukuna was the original user of the shrine and fans have seen him use this technique on numerous occasions. Sukuna can dismember her enemies with Dismantle or use Cleave to slash her enemies depending on their resistance and cursed energy used.
Sakuna can even access Divine Flames after using Cleave and Dismantle and burn her targets to death. His domain extension, called the Malevolent Shrine, is the pinnacle of his technique and can tear apart all of his enemies. It is clear that there is almost no one in the world of JJK who can withstand his powerful blows. Although yes, Sukun's strongest ability, World Cutting Dismantle, is incredibly hard for anyone to survive.
3 Yuji Itadori
Sukun's original vessel
Yuji Itadori is another powerful user of the Shrine Cursed technique. After being Sukun's vessel for a long time, Yuji was able to use the Shrine. In fact, Sukuna used the shrine multiple times in Yuji's body. If that wasn't enough, Yuji himself ended up awakening the Shrine in the Showdown Shinjuku arc. His version of the Shrine was somewhat different and safer than Sukuna's, and fans saw him use it effortlessly.

Yuji was able to combine the power of his cutting abilities such as Dismantle with his soul-damaging wounds. Yuji was basically able to Dismantle and Cleave on his opponent's souls, making him incredibly dangerous. Fans have also seen Yuji exhibit the powerful Shrine Cursed Technique Domain Expansion Technique. His sure domain attack was the powerful Soul Dismantle, which even dealt tremendous damage to Yeoman Sukun, the King of Curses. Yuji is a majestic Shine user and certainly the strongest at the end of the story.
2 Yuta Okkotsu
A miraculous magician with the ability of cursed copies
Unbeknownst to many, Yuta is also a powerful user of the Shrine Cursed Technique. Yuta gained access to the shrine in the Showdown Shinjuku arc. After Yuta consumed Yuji's finger, he used Cleave, allowing him to defeat Sukuna with powerful slashes. This happened within an extension of his own domain, where he could use his copied techniques as many times as he wanted, provided he picked up the right sword.
Yuta was undoubtedly a skilled Shrine user, but his skills could hardly compare to Sukuna or even Yuji. Whether Yuta could use stronger techniques like Dismantle, World Splitting Dismantle, or abilities like Divine Flame remains to be seen. But at least fans know that Yuta had access to this powerful technique at least until Yuji recovered his finger. It remains unknown if Yuta can still use this technique, at least in his domain, or if he has lost access to it now that Yuji has most certainly healed his finger.
1 Megumi Fushiguro
Sukun's second ship
Megumi Fushiguro is another character with access to the shrine, though probably only for a limited time. Of course, this access comes from Sukuna who was inside Megumi's body. Once Sukuna suppressed Meguma, he used him through the Shrine. In fact, the World Cutting Dismantle was invented in Megumi's body. Despite Megumi not controlling his body, it can be seen in one way as him using the shrine.
With the death of the Curse King, Megumi was free, meaning he could no longer use the shrine. However, it remains to be seen if he can actually gain access to the shrine much like Yuji. Megumi saw the shrine being used and his body was more extensive than Yuji ever was. If Yuji could learn this technique by having Sukuna in his body, maybe Megumi could learn it too. Regardless, fans know that Megumi used the Shrine as long as Sukuna was in control of his body.
