ARC Raiders has launched its Server Slam open beta, and eager players are flooding the game on Steam. Whether the game can carry that interest and excitement forward to full release remains to be seen, but so far it bodes well for ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders is the latest game from Embark Studios and was announced back in 2021. The game has gone through several shifts since then, changing from a co-op third-person shooter to an extraction shooter with teams of 1-3 players facing off against both the environment and its dangers as well as competitive players in a PvPvE experience.
ARC Raiders Server Slam is off to a great start
ARC RaidersThe Slam Open Beta server is meant to test the capacity of the servers, and it looks like the developer is getting exactly what it wanted in that regard. Although the beta was launched less than 24 hours prior to publication, the title has already peaked with more than 189,000 players checking out the game on Steam alone. The number has fallen somewhat since that peak to 169,000, but it's likely that it could break its record over the course of the weekend when more players have free time to get involved. The beta will run until October 19th and is free to participate in, so interested players should not miss this opportunity to see what it's all about.
While many fans of the previous Embark game Final were interested in ARC Raidersit has also been doing comparably well with other major hits lately. Viral roguelike survival game Megabonk earlier in October it reached around 117,000 concurrent players, Delta Force in September it reached 213,000 Battlefield 6The beta reached a staggering half a million concurrent players. Although it seems unlikely that he will catch up Battlefield 6it will be interesting to see what the final numbers look like at the end of the competition ARC Raiders open beta.
Those interested in ARC Raiders betas should note that any progress they make in the game will not carry over to the full release. However, players who participate can get the exclusive Server Slammer Backpack in the full version ARC Raiders when it launches on October 30.
