Battlefield movie with Michael B. Jordan confirmed

Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan is reportedly involved in a film adaptation of EA's long-running first-person shooter series. Battlefield. Since launching its latest entry in the fall of 2025, Battlefield the franchise has seen a strong resurgence in interest and player numbers, driven by its strong gameplay foundations and rich amount of content.

Christopher McQuarrie has also co-directed and co-written some of Hollywood's highest-grossing blockbusters, including Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Top Gun: Maverick. What's more, with EA Licensee Battlefield 6 as the best-selling shooter of 2025, it's likely that any studio looking to work with Battlefield franchise, Michael B. Jordan and Christopher McQuarrie will have to pay a hefty fee for it.

AND Battlefield The film seems like a logical move for EA as the wider gaming industry continues to prioritize bringing as many high-grossing and popular franchises to as many non-gaming mediums as possible. Battlefieldnext biggest competitor Call of Dutyalso has a film adaptation in the works at Paramount, while other notable game franchises such as Elden Ring, Street Fighter, Resident Eviland Death Stranding movies are also in the works.
