Tysis is one of the Warframe's older secondary weapons. First introduced in Update 11.7, this Infested pistol fires explosive darts that take out targets with myriad conditions, especially Corrosive. If you need to debuff a tough boss or melt some fodder units, Tysis won't disappoint.

The Tysis is a semi-automatic pistol that fires explosive darts that stick into targets and detonate in a corrosive point after a short delay. While this weapon has pitiful base damage for a secondary, it has an absurdly high 50% base chance. Projectile bursts deal 27 corrosive damage per second for three seconds and inherit a 50% base projectile status chance, resulting in a large number of status ailments with a good build.
Basically, the Tysis is first class. It's not a hard hitting weapon nor does it have strong critical stats, but you can greatly improve the performance of this weapon with galvanized mods once you hit the endgame, especially with Galvanized Shot.

Building Tysis
Until the 1999 CODA variant with Infested Liches comes out, this guide will focus on the standard status primer for the basic Tysis. If you're not a Zakti fan and want a solid single target primer then this build should work well. We will update this guide when the CODA variant is available.
Primer build status
Even though this build doesn't use any Forma, Tysis is surprisingly powerful once you get access to the galvanized mods. Until then, the standard variants of the mod will work fine, even if you have trouble clearing the Steel Path content.
Galvanized bullet is clearly the strongest mod in this deck, reducing your base damage outside of the target's status ailments. Then we'll use three base mods – your choice, but make sure they're hybrid item/status mods Frostbite and Scorch— give this weapon a wide range of damage types. Throw in some multishot s Galvanized diffusion and deadly torrent, and now Tysis can inflict dozens of status ailments in seconds.
As for elemental types, we recommend it Viral + Heat for most content. Corrosive already destroys enemy armor, so scaling HP damage through Viral makes for a deadly combo. Blast is also fantastic here because you cause so many status ailments. Choose the elements that best exploit your enemy faction's vulnerabilities.
