Kill/Scoresteaks were a staple Call of Duty franchise from year Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfarerelease in 2007. Despite only having three Killstreaks, Call of Duty 4 laid a strong blueprint for the rest of the franchise to follow, with radar, air raid and helicopter still used in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in one form or another.
A return to the Scorestreak system first introduced in Black Ops 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is home to 18 separate power-ups. Many of these are long-term staples of the franchise, such as the UAV, RC-XD, Care Package, Napalm Strike, and Chopper Gunner. But Black Ops 6 has its fair share of new Scorestreaks, one of which is a variation on a fan favorite and the best ever.

Call of Duty has had plenty of gunship Killstreaks over the years
While it may not have been called “Gunship” yet, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2The AC-130 Killstreak laid the groundwork for what quickly became one of the franchise's most popular and effective abilities. In the gunner's seat of the AC-130, players could switch between a 25mm Gatling Gun, a 40mm cannon, and a 105mm howitzer, all of which could be used to decimate an opposing team in milliseconds. With two flares on board, the AC-130 could withstand a total of three RPG shots.
Call of Duty: Black Ops introduced the first officially titled Gunship Killstreak, allowing players to manually pilot a helicopter over the battlefield. Call of Duty: WW2 and newer Vanguard put a historical spin on Gunship Killstreak and let players use the ball turret on a B-17 bomber to rain down fire from above.
All three from Infinity Ward Call of Duty: Modern Warfare the reboot titles featured the Gunship Killstreak, with all three operating very similarly to the original Modern Warfare 2 AC-130 capability, albeit with much improved visuals and sound effects. But while Gunship still feels like a suitably powerful reward, its increased frequency in recent years has left some fans wanting something new. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 it has just that.
How Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Dreadnought stands out from the crowd
Available after getting a whopping 1800 scores, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Dreadnought is the most expensive Scorestreak in the game, but it's more than worth the hefty price tag. Rather than immediately appearing in the gunner's seat, Black Ops 6Dreadnought Scorestreak first plays a very short cutscene showing the player character in the cockpit of the battleship flipping a few switches, inspecting the gigantic bomb behind them in the hold, and turning to man the gunner's station.
When the player's time in the gunner's seat of the Dreadnought is up, another very short cutscene will play, this time showing the player character moving towards the rear of the plane and dropping the aforementioned bomb on unsuspecting enemies below. Even though they're only a second or two each, these cinematics go a long way in production Black Ops 6's Dreadnought feels like a big event and not just a temporary power-up.

's Dreadnought also has a unique death animation for when the plane is destroyed, instead showing a Daisy Cutter bomb exploding in the cargo bay.
But Scorestreak can't just rely on flashy visuals. fortunately Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Dreadnought is incredibly satisfying to use. Like previous iterations of the gunship, the Dreadnought allows players to cycle through three powerful weapons which are Rocket Pods, Dual Barrel Cannon and Gatling Gun. Each of these weapons sounds suitably dramatic and is as effective as ever in destroying enemy players who dare to come out of closed cover. And to top it off, the Scorestreak ends with the Daisy Cutter bomb slowly making its way down onto the battlefield, wiping out anyone still standing.
