From the famous boulder chase Raiders of the Lost Arkto often censored heartbreak Temple of Doomto the oft-quoted Holy Grail Knight scene in The Last Crusade, Indiana Jones the franchise has no shortage of iconic movie moments. Of course, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle it can't be expected to reference all of the franchise's best moments, but there will certainly be plenty of easter eggs in store for eagle-eyed fans.
From the trailers released so far and the recent round of gameplay demos, it seems safe to say that developer MachineGames is looking to create Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as faithful as possible to the source material. Fans can probably expect to hear plenty of familiar musical themes, Troy Baker doing his best Harrison Ford impression, and at least one franchise cameo already confirmed. Indy throwing sand in front of the Golden Idol, avoiding the spike traps that kill young Alfredo Molina, the boulder chase, and the subsequent confrontation and escape from Belloq are all remarkable moments in their own right.
But there is one more moment in this sequence that spawned a full-fledged action movie. After digging himself out of the abyss of impending doom, Indy managed to scramble under the closing door at the last moment and rip the whip from the door frame just as the stone block hit the ground.

This was confirmed by many outlets in a recent round of game demos Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will feature an unlockable ability called “Lucky Hat”. This ability allows players to revive themselves by crawling to Indy's hat when shot down. That sounds like a really cool way to capture the spirit Indiana Jones while also providing players with a truly useful gaming ability, and that's a great sign Big circle will be full of winks and nods to the rest of the franchise.
