Even during the early access period Hades 2 was filled to the brim with excellent content, exciting gameplay, and some of the best characters around. With its full release and its arrival on consoles, it somehow improved and brought many new things to lose countless hours with, again. One of the things added during its full release was the Familiar Forms system, which allows you to change the appearance of your faithful animal companions.

However, as you've probably guessed, you'll need to do some work beforehand to access this feature. Fortunately, if you've been playing since early access, you've probably checked off most of the prerequisites. But if you're new to the game, you'll have to put in a lot of time and effort to unlock it, which will be worth it once you see how sick some of these skins are!

Unlocking known forms

After meeting all the above requirements, you can finally unlock Familiar Forms, but it will take a few more steps. First, you must start running on the surface and make your way to Thessaly Rift (the second area with all the ships). Play your way up reach Circe, as he will give you the necessary charm to unlock Familiar Forms.

Once you have Circe's Alteration of Familiar Forms spell, finish your current run and go back to the big one boiler in Křižovatka. Once you're here, you'll be able to create an incantation if you have the following items:

From there you can easily head to the training ground area, go to your own preferred Familiar and select Form option (R2/RT) to display all available forms. Of course you will they need specific materials to unlock said forms, but at least you have the option to do it now!
