8
Immolation Tinder
Base Physical Damage: 116
Requirements |
Strength (18), Dexterity (18), Intelligence (12), Faith (12) |
Scale |
Strength (D), Dexterity (D), Intelligence (12) |
One would think that given the weather conditions in Irythill in the Boreal Valley, there would be no fires anywhere in the area. However, players who believe this will quickly be proven wrong by the dangerous Fire Witches that inhabit the area. These formidable enemies can use their halberds as flamethrowers as well as perform various fire spells that are difficult to dodge.
Players who are interested in acquiring Immolation Tinder he'll have to farm Fire Witches relentlessly to get it. The weapon changes based on strength, dexterity, intelligence, and faith, making it a versatile choice. Players who struggle with farming these enemies can benefit from any mods that can make them stronger.
7
Half moon ax
Base Physical Damage: 119
Requirements |
Strength (14), Dexterity (12) |
Scale |
Strength (D), Dexterity (D) |
The Half moon ax is one of those halberds that looks cool but doesn't actually do much physical damage. The Crescent Ax, which requires 14 Strength and 12 Dexterity and offers so much scaling with each of these attributes, is a good weapon, but not the best.

Dark Souls 3: 18 Best Boss Weapons
Defeating Dark Souls 3 bosses provides an opportunity to obtain a weapon, but some are better than others. Here are the best boss weapons in the game.
To obtain it, players will need to find the Paladin's Ashes in the Cathedral Deep and then give it to the Shrine Handmaid. It doesn't stand out as a base, but if players upgrade it enough, the Crescent Ax is a formidable halberd that can fit well into entry-level Knight or Warrior classes.
6
Crucifix of the Mad King
Base Physical Damage: 124
Requirements |
Strength (19), Intelligence (10), Faith (14) |
Scale |
Strength (D), Intelligence (E), Faith (D) |
When it comes to cool looking guns, Crucifix of the Mad King definitely belongs to the leading places. One of the great things about this weapon is that its requirements are fairly low, requiring 19 Strength, 10 Intelligence, and 14 Faith. Scaling isn't particularly great, especially for the Intelligence stat. But even so, the weapon is still formidable.
Players can get this interesting halberd in the final area Ring city DLC. They will have to defeat Shira, who drops the Mad King's Crucifix upon her death.
5
Lucerne
Base Physical Damage: 126
Requirements |
Strength (16), Dexterity (12) |
Scale |
Strength (D), Dexterity (D) |
Unlike the other halberds on this list Lucerne can be found fairly early in the game, specifically inside the church where Emma is in the High Wall of Lothric. Being an early game weapon, its strength and dexterity requirements are fairly low, and the scaling for both attributes is okay, but not amazing.
All in all, the Lantern shines not necessarily because it's the most powerful halberd in the game, but because of how easy it is to obtain and how early it can be obtained. The High Wall of Lothric is an area that can be greatly facilitated with long-range weapons, so if players are trying to get into the church, a bow and arrow might come in handy.
4
Splitleaf Greatsword
Base Physical Damage: 132
Requirements |
Strength (26), Dexterity (16) |
Scale |
Strength (C), Dexterity (E) |
Starting with its name, Splitleaf Greatsword it doesn't really look like a weapon that should fit into the halberd category, but it's classified that way, for better or worse. With a long handle that is typical of a regular halberd and topped with a long blade that is ideal for reaching enemies, this weapon has many advantages.
His Strength scaling is decent, but somewhat overshadowed by the poor Dexterity scaling that comes with it. To obtain the Splitleaf Greatsword, players will need to find a stone hag in the Dreg pile in Ring city DLC and buy it from her.
3
Winged Halberd Knight
Base Physical Damage: 135
Requirements |
Strength (26), Dexterity (16) |
Scale |
Strength (D), Dexterity (E) |
Winged Knights are probably one of the toughest enemies ever Dark Souls 3. You would think that with their massive size they would be very easy to hit and kill. However, they move very quickly for their size and can deliver heavy blows with their weapons.
Some of these formidable enemies rule Winged Halberd Knight and often use it for a devastating spinning attack that is really hard to dodge. In order to obtain this weapon, players will have to farm Winged Knights with great patience as the drop rate is around 8%. If players are struggling to defeat these creatures, a fight-control deck that allows for quick dodges can be a great choice.
2
Gundyr's Halberd
Base Physical Damage: 145
Requirements |
Strength (30), Dexterity (15) |
Scale |
Strength (C), Dexterity (E) |
Iudex Gundyr is the first boss players face Dark Souls 3. Defeating him comes with an incomparable sense of pride and satisfaction, as this boss seems extremely tough at the start of the game. However, players who have progressed far into the story and found the Untended Graves secret location in Lothric Castle will get a chance to face Gundyr in his prime as he reigns. Gundyr's Halberd.

1
Black Knight Glaive
Base Physical Damage: 150
Requirements |
Strength (28), Dexterity (18) |

Strength (D), Dexterity (D) |
Last, but certainly not least, is here Black Knight Glaive. This weapon looks amazing and has the highest base physical damage of any halberd in the game, making it an ideal choice for players who want to hit enemies like a truck without any special status effects.
Similar to Gundyr's Halberd, the Black Knight Glave can be found in the Untended Graves section, specifically in the Champion Gundyr's arena. Once players pass through the mist to fight Gundyr, they should immediately turn right and turn 180 degrees to surround the wall. There they find the Black Knight Glaive. Like other weapons in Dark Souls 3This Glaive has a soft cap and a hard cap once a certain level of strength and dexterity is reached.
