Death Stranding has released a new update for Xbox that addresses a bug related to the console's Quick Resume feature. Former PlayStation exclusive, Kojima Productions Death Stranding was recently ported to the Xbox Series X/S out of seemingly nowhere, leading to an increase in hype and excitement about the game's sequel. Xbox gamers are excited to finally be able to experience Kojima's highly acclaimed title.

While it's certainly a divisive game due to its slower pace, Death Stranding nevertheless, it was one of the biggest games of 2019, as many would expect from a Kojima production. The game was nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards alongside titles such as Remedy's Management, Resident Evil 2 remodel, a Sekiro: Shadow's Die Twicewho eventually took home the prize. Death Stranding's director's cut, the version that hit Xbox last week, was released in 2021 and improved the game for PlayStation 5. The Game Awards 2022 was home to the reveal Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which remains one of the biggest upcoming titles.

Such a feat is a testament to Kojima Productions and its QA and testing teams. Some Kojima fans were wondering if this sudden move would bring about Death Stranding on Xbox was intended to keep its community updated with the first game before Kojima potentially announced it AND multiplatform edition for Death Stranding 2. While this is certainly possible, others simply see it as an expiration of whatever exclusivity deal PlayStation has in place Death Stranding.
