When Supreme Kai, Goku, and Glorio come across a small shop located in the Third Demon World, they find a variety of strange and interesting items in stock, including strange bugs of various shapes and colors called Medi-Bugs. When consumed, Medi-Bugs have various medicinal effects, including relieving headaches from Zutsu Bugs; burn relief from Achichi Bugs; and Revive Bugs, which restore stamina. Goku himself has said that this effect is like the Senzu that Dragon Fighters have relied on to revive downed allies throughout the franchise. Senzu are rare beans grown only on Korin's Tower and almost instantly restore a fighter's physical condition when eaten, making them very important to have in battle.


Senzu restore ki, health, stamina, and are so nutritious that they can keep a person full for days. They are capable of curing all kinds of poisoning and are powerful enough to facilitate the regeneration of damaged organs and even limbs if administered early enough. They are unable to heal old wounds that have already scarred, so removed Saiyan tails do not return.
