Crossroads throughout the region Dragon Age: The Veilguardyou can find portals tucked away in corners that lead to memories of the past. Each portal leads to its own side quest, and the one in Athim Heights is called “Break and Conquer”.
None of the flashback quests in the game are difficult, but “Disrupt and Conquer” is particularly easy. Still, there are a few chests you might miss, and completing the quest is a great time to find the Fen'Harel statuette.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – How to get Mass Effect Armor
Here's how players can get their hands on this armor set that references another beloved BioWare franchise.
Where to start Disrupt and Conquer
Once you start the story quest, you can start “Disrupt and Conquer”. “A warden's best friend.” This story quest activates the third ferry in Crossroads, which leads to the Heights of Athim area.
From the Athim Dock, head up through the ruined building. You should see a large cliff ahead. Go left and you should see a way to climb up to the cliff. This leads to a shimmering green gate, and going through the gate will trigger “Disrupt and Conquer.” Keep that in mind you can't turn around once you're through.
Where to find every chest in Disrupt and Conquer
After the flashback starts, go forward and exit the cave. But before you go up the ramp, look to your left. At the edge of the cliff to the west you should find a small chest.
At the top of the ramp, step into the glowing circle and listen as Solas and General Felassan recruit a bunch of chaos spirits to attack. Once finished, the way forward will open up. Go through and immediately turn right. There is another small chest on this side of the wall.
During this quest you will encounter the only enemies, the first level recruits. Even if you've avoided the optional quests and fights up to this point, clearing these enemies should be easy. To get the last few in this encounter, climb the ladder that's right in front of you. While you're up here activate the ballista. You can use it to blast your way forward, which is the blocked arch to the left of the burning tree. Then you can fire the ballista a few more times to kill the recruits rushing through the hole, or just fight them normally.
On the other side is another fight with recruits. Head past them to the burning pit and then go left. A pair of stairs should appear, leading you around the pit. You will then hear Solas and Felassan talking. Once finished, a path forward will open and more recruits will pour through it. Fight your way across the bridge and when you get to the other side, a gate will open right in front of you. More recruits rush in, but then the Evanuri launch a massive attack that destroys them all.
Solas and Felassan have a final exchange after this and Rook appears in a new location. Open the large chest and collect the wolf statuette and complete the quest. You can then take the lift down to the top of the cliff back in the heights of Athim.
There is a gate up here that leads to a large rift, but how to get in is part of another quest. You can also pick up the Fen'Harel Altar statuette if you activated the altar earlier and the codex entry. The zipline takes you back to where you started.
