New Dragon Ball Set to be revealed at a special event in January 2026, the game adds another option for players who can't get enough of Goku and his friends. There is already a wide range of actively updated ones Dragon Ball games on consoles, PC and mobile devices, but it looks like more will be joining their ranks soon.
When Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was released in October 2024, reviving and improving the historical Budokai Tenkaichi a series of fighting games that enjoyed considerable popularity in the early 2000s. However, it was definitely not alone in the market as a fighting game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and action RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot were and are still very much alive as both have received updates over the past few days. Bandai Namco also has a mix of mobile devices Dragon Ball offered games, incl Dragon Ball Legends, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadraand Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.
A new Dragon Ball game will be announced on January 25, 2026
Even with all the games on the market, a new entry on the growing active list Dragon Ball the games are set to be unveiled during a special event on January 25, 2026 just outside of Tokyo. As noted by Gamepressure, the Dragon Ball Genki Dama Festival and one of the listed events will be held that day in the Stage section of their websitementions “New super game announcement.” Since a separate time slot has been set aside for the update to be revealed Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battlethis announcement is supposed to be about a brand new game, not an update or expansion of one of the others Dragon Ball games currently available.
Not much is known about what this new game might entail, but fans are already offering their best guesses. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 got his Dragon Ball Daima DLC in May, but the game will be celebrating its ninth anniversary later this month, and plenty of fans seem ready for a sequel. Some others are hoping for a sequel to the 2D fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZwhile the PlayStation 3-era fighter Dragon Ball: Raging Blast was also mentioned for a revival.
A few fans are even hoping for a new entry in the game Budokai Tenkaichi series. Although Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero released its latest DLC less than a month ago, expanding its roster to over 200 playable characters, there has been no official confirmation that a second season will be released, and rumors of it being a “dead game” on social media platforms like Reddit have been trending for the past few weeks.
