Dragon Ball Z could soon introduce new races

Although it won't be a revolution Dragon Ball Z a cosmic power hierarchy, established and expanded on a wider scale DBZ through a franchise Great, Daimaand further, the upcoming edition expands its own list with new races. Not only is it Dragon Ball Z expanding on Time Gods of Destruction, but there will also be at least two new races in the game.

The Dragon Ball Z anime and manga may have ended in the 90s, but the universe seems to be ever expanding. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is set for Fall 2026, a retelling of the Battle of the Gods arc, and Dragon Ball Super the anime is currently working on an adaptation of the Galactic Patrol Arc. And as this space-time expands, so does time itself.

A new Dragon Ball supermake will be released in the fall of 2026, starting with a fresh adaptation of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Introducing 2 new playable races

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is set to release in 2027, and the upcoming game is believed to expand its playable roster of five Xenoverse 2 to seven races (meaning that two will be new playable races in the upcoming season DBZ game). It is not confirmed, but the first race is believed to be the Bio-Androids, similar to Cell from the anime and Android 21 from Dragon Ball FighterZ. Seeing as how their whole hook is evolution through new physical forms, it will be interesting to see how and if they are adapted into Xenoverse 3gameplay. The other race is believed to be Kaioshin (Supreme Kais) and/or Demons, and it is unclear if it is one, both, and/or the other, given their shared lineage. Demons are basically the evil opposites of Kaioshina.

These new races are expected to be added Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 as mentioned by various outlets and content creators joining industry events, though Bandai Namco Entertainment only slightly showed its hand for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3new game features. That said, the developers heavily teased that new races were on the way, even though those specific races turned out to be incorrect. In a previous interview with Monstervine, executive producer Masayuki Hiranao said he wouldn't reveal too much when asked directly about the races, but said that:[T]The customization range is both horizontal and vertical. If that makes sense, it will be much deeper and wider. The new races are still TBD, but from Universe 2 to Universe 3, the scope of customization will increase a lot.”

In other words, Hiranao could not officially comment on the possibility of new races in Xenoverse 3but deeper means more customization and character creation options available, while wider might just mean that new options are available right from the start. After ten years with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2that's understandable Xenoverse 3 fans want more than Earthlings, Saiyans, Namekians, Majins, and the Frieza race.

Of course, there could be something else at play here, but most of the fandom agrees that this is what is happening. There's still plenty of time for CyberConnect 2 and Bandai Namco to show more of the upcoming anime game, but it's undoubtedly one of the most anticipated in the wider genre.
