Electronic Arts has officially announced EA Sports UFC 6 with a June 2026 release date, confirming several earlier rumors about the project. Continuation EA Sports UFC 5 it will launch in two editions on as many consoles, and there are some hints that PC gamers might get it too – eventually.
The latest entry in the popular mixed martial arts franchise debuted in October 2023 to very favorable reviews from critics and average player reviews. EA Vancouver has reportedly begun active development UFC 6 within a year of this release, as the project is said to have entered full production in late 2024.

EA Sports UFC 6 is getting a modest announcement, a June 2026 release date
The official reveal of the project arrived on April 27 and confirmed the recent EA Sports UFC 6 the leak claims the game is targeting a June 19 release date, as Mike Straw of Insider Gaming originally reported. The announcement itself was fairly modest by EA standards, with the company only releasing a few store listings describing the game but not showing it off. The limited selection of images on these pages is only telling EA Sports UFC 6 cover athletes: Alex Pereira and Max Holloway. The former will be found on the base cover, while the latter will be featured on the Ultimate Edition.
According to Straw's previous reports, Holloway will have a set EA Sports UFC 6 regime based around it. While details are still scarce, EA he did to mention an exclusive mode within the game's upcoming Expansion Pass that will be included in the Ultimate Edition featuring Holloway on the cover. Higher level version UFC 6 will retail for $99.99 or $89.99 for EA Play subscribers, thanks to their standard 10% launch discount. The base game will debut with a typical AAA price tag of $69.99.

EA Sports UFC 6 pre-orders are now available on PlayStation and Xbox Store.
EA Sports UFC 6 promotional materials confirm that the game is built on Frostbite, a proprietary engine developed by the company Battlefield made by DICE. EA Vancouver has already switched to Frostbite with UFC 5with the previous four entries in the franchise using EA Sports' Ignite engine. While only the console versions have been announced so far, Straw previously reported EA Sports UFC 6 will join PC in fall 2026.

As things currently stand, MMA fans will soon have three more entries in the EA franchise to play online. The list was reduced to two in February 2025 when EA Sports UFC 3 was terminated as the longest supported installment in the series, lasting more than seven years before its servers were shut down.
