BRUSSELS, Belgium: A UN top court ruling that Israel's 57-year occupation of Palestinian land was “illegal” is “largely in line with EU positions,” the bloc's foreign policy chief said on Saturday. Friday's wide-ranging opinion by the Hague-based International Court of Justice, which called for an end to the occupation as soon as possible, was immediately condemned by Israel as a “decision of lies”.
