According to NetEase's latest “Dev Vision” video,

The roster will feature an impressive total of 33 playable characters at the launch of the first season, Season 0.
While NetEase has not confirmed any of these six other heroes, it has been heavily rumored that Hawkeye, Human Torch, Ultron, and Blade could also appear Marvel Rivals in the near future. With the countdown repeating its list until launch, the remaining six characters will soon be officially revealed.
Marvel Rivals launches with 9 maps
This was also confirmed Marvel Rivals they will receive nine maps within the first month. Eight of these maps will be available for both Quick Play and Competitive 6v6 matches, four of which were already available during closed playtests, namely:
- Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya

- Yggsgard: The Royal Palace
- Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path
That means four more Quick Play/Competitive maps are coming Marvel Rivals in December, although it is not confirmed where they will be located. Marvel Rivals it will also feature one Conquest map during its launch window.
Conquest is basically Marvel Rivals' team deathmatch mode where the goal of both teams is simply to eliminate as many enemy players as possible within a time limit. This is quite different from that Marvel RivalsMore objective based modes like Convoy (payload), Domination (king of the hill) and Convergence (hybrid combination of both).

Starting December 6th Marvel Rivals“Doom's Rise” Season 0 will set the stage for what could be the beginning of a very special story in the Marvel Universe. In this inaugural season, Doctor Doom's experiments with Timestream Entanglement will result in the creation of four chronovers: the 2099 timeline, the current timeline where evil is rampant, the Mosaic timeline which is unstable, and the Collapse timeline where even gods can die.

Season 1 of Marvel Rivals starts in January 2025
Titled “Doom's Rise,” Season 0 will run for just one month and end in early January next year. Season 0 will quickly follow Marvel Rivals Season 1 to start in January 2025.
As things currently stand, every season Marvel Rivals will last about three months and bring with it “new heroes, maps, team abilities, and possibly new game modes,” according to a recent breakdown by NetEase Dev Vision. In addition to these free extras Marvel Rivals will receive a new battle pass every season, which will bring with it a lot of cosmetics such as skins and emblems.
Since Season 0 is only a month long, its battle pass will be shorter and its price will reflect its length, although that price is currently unconfirmed. Three skins have already been confirmed for the season 0 battle pass, namely a Superior Iron Man skin, a Spidey skin inspired by the bombastic Bag-Man, and one skin Thor: Love and Thunder-inspired skin for a norse god.
