The front band Anisong (Anime Song), Claris, makes a comeback with two new members. One of the original two members has left the group since then and left only one original member. It will be the first time Claris played with three members instead of only two. The group has gained popularity in Japan and abroad through its popular introductory songs anime, which is one of the most famous “Connect” that served as opening Mahou Shoujo Madoka ★ Magica in 2012.
The news was published on Saturday by the Japanese news website Oricon, which often covers Japanese stories about pop cultures. The announcement was also published on the Staff X (formerly Twitter) page on the same day. Post X also included a short opening video for new members along with an official announcement of the group's return. Their new song will be released on February 24, 2025.

Who is Claris?
The story of a group of mysterious girl
Claris was originally a pop duo group that was formed in 2009, with members of Clara and Alice, who were at the junior high school at that time. New has always played under these pseudonyms to protect their anonymity, something Claris is doing to this day. Claris members are usually depicted as avatars that look like anime girls instead of showing their real faces, including music videos and promotional material. They also perform their live shows on each other. Clara and Alice removed their masks only during two live performances, once in 2017 and again in 2020. They also showed their real faces in the music video for “Connect” made in 2022.
Claris began publishing the packaging of other famous songs and recording them on a Japanese video for sharing Video Niconico before logging in to SME Records in 2010 (and since 2017, Sacra Music). While since then they have played many original songs, Claris has gained the most popularity through the music they created for anime. Some of the anime that represented Claris songs are Ore no imōto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai, Nisemonogatari, Nisekoiand most great, Mahou Shoujo Madoka ★ Magica.
Alice did not stay part of Claris for a long time and left the group in 2014. Shortly afterwards, he joined the new member of Karen, who remained with Clara for decades. September 1, 2024, Claris announced that Karen would also leave the group. Alice and Karen completed Claris Autumn Tour 2024 in November and it was the end of Karen's journey with the duo. Now in Lisan! The Live 2025 Action 25 January 2025 showed that two new members would join Alice to make Claris a trio. Two new members are Elly and Anna – again pseudonyms that protect their identity.

The first song with new members
The announcement of Claris's return to the music scene included the name and date of the release of the new song. A song called 「カラフル -Season 03- 」in Japanese, or「 Color -Seson 03- 」in English, will be released on February 24, 2025. Group at the end of 2024.
Along with this new announcement, Claris published a short video representing Elly and Anna. They remained faithful to Claris' tradition and were shown by anime persona instead of their real faces next to Clarina's personality in the video to protect their private life. The video also includes a preview of 「Color -Vize 03-」 in the background to give everyone an idea of what to expect. It follows the usual sound and style of Claris, so even with two new members the band fans are likely to enjoy music.
As Claris was successful in the Anisong community, including an anime on the anime in Japan and abroad, hopefully it will not be long before we see the new anime opening with the new version of Claris. What happens to the band like a trio is a mystery so far, but there will probably be more news coming up the next year after the official debut of the Trio next month.
