If you're currently playing Forza Horizon 6, then consider yourself part of the minority. Playground Games' latest title is still in early access via the premium edition, but more than 1.2 million have reportedly shelled out $119.99 or the local equivalent in their country to play the game early.
So much so that Xbox can invest about $140 million in sales before the game reaches its full release date.
As first reported by Insider Gaming, data obtained by another player indicates that more than 1.2 million players are actively engaged in the game. They would have to fork over $119.99 to play the game, or in the case of some, whatever the difference is, through Game Pass Ultimate.

Forza Horizon 6 Review: Japan marks a new highlight for Open World Racers
The neon streets of Tokyo, snowy mountain roads and endlessly satisfying driving make Forza Horizon 6 the strongest entry in the series yet.
That $140 million figure assumes everyone pays that much, and even if they don't, the final number is probably somewhere in the neighborhood. What's more, the title will have one more crack when it launches on PlayStation 5 sometime in 2026.
As Xbox continues to consider whether a return to exclusivity should be its defining trademark as it prepares to launch Project Helix, its next-gen console, it's clear that titles like Forza simply want to do more the more widely available.
Forza Horizon 6 fans absolutely love the title
Already the top-rated game of 2026 and one of the best-received Forza titles, Horizon 6 took things a step further by becoming the most played racer on Steam, beating F1, Need for Speed and past Forza titles.
Again, and we can't stress this enough, the title isn't quite out yet. There's a good chance that number will double on May 19 when the full title launches.
Elsewhere, those who played the game went absolutely nuts. There are those who have used the liveries to create all sorts of neat decals, including full-scale replicas of Lightning McQueen and Optimus Prime. Others discovered a neat reference to Pokemon hidden in the world.
Forza Horizon has long been a well-received franchise that arguably started the “festival” racer trend. But it's clear that the move to Japan coupled with next-generation advancements have the Horizon 6 in a class of its own. Also apparently owns a wallet.

The next Arc Raiders update isn't until October, which means I might play it
I like the sound of bi-annual updates.
