For the release of the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen
Gojo has always been the most popular character of the popular Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen
manga.
As many fans know, the series ended at the end of 2024, and the final Jujutsu Kaisen followed in a few months, around Christmas, on December 25, 2024.
To mark the release of the last volume of the manga, Gege created this illustration of Gojo Satoru. Fans can see it here:
The image shows Gojo in his earlier design of the series, as opposed to what he was wearing in the last arc JJK. The illustration is dated 12/24/2024 on Christmas Day, which is one day before the release of the final volume.
The Last Volume of Jujutsu Kaisen
Despite Gojo being illustrated on the occasion of the release Jujutsu Kaisen final volume, which would be volume 30, Gojo doesn't actually appear in the volume other than in flashbacks. Gojo actually died in chapter 236 in his fight against Sukuna.

However, it makes sense that Gege would draw Gojo's illustration, as he is one of the biggest reasons why Jujutsu Kaisen has become as popular as it is today and has a huge fan base.

Gojo does not appear in the epilogue
In addition to the final volume JJKGege dropped a 16-page epilogue for fans and added several short stories covering several characters. While some believed that Gojo would make an appearance, fans were disappointed to know that he was nowhere to be seen. The closest thing was that Gojo was mentioned to Nobara, who he asked to reconnect with her mother.
The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
