The Gunnar Clear Pro lens is an artist's dream come true
The standout product Gunnar introduced at this year's CES was undoubtedly the brand's Clear Pro lens, which is currently available in several different collections — Muir, Humboldt, Pacifica, Palomar, Pismo, and Tahoe. Gunnar's Clear Pro lens was developed based on a request from graphic designers and other creatives who needed the company's patented lens technology, but without the color shift that would inevitably lead to misinterpretation of colors on their screens.
As the name suggests, Gunnar Clear Pro lenses are completely clear, while offering the same technology and features as the brand's other lens variants, including the Signature Amber shade. Gunnar Clear Pro lenses are also available for those who need prescription glasses, ultimately increasing their appeal and extending their reach even further.
Gunnar is expanding its selection of mineral glasses
In the spirit of clear lenses, Gunnar is expanding its range of mineral glasses with the new Purity collection, which will be launched this May. Using the same material found in high-end cameras and binoculars, Gunnar mineral glass lenses eliminate refraction, iridescence and image distortion, resulting in unparalleled visual clarity.
At CES, Gunnar unveiled the debut product in the Purity collection, the Tioga, which features the brand's popular mineral glass lenses in a lightweight, round acetate and reclaimed wood frame, with German spring-loaded headphone hinges. Once the Purity collection launches in May, the Tioga range will be available with Amber and Clear Pro mineral glass for a retail price of around $250.
Gunnar's new Sun-Shift and Viscer models balance adaptability and comfort
Some of the more notable Gunnar offerings on display include the brand new Sun-Shift and Viscer models. The Sun-Shift model is the result of a collaboration with Activision and Call of Dutyaptly named “Call of Duty Ghost Edition” and is currently available for purchase. These glasses come with a military-inspired aviation frame made of premium polymer and stainless steel to provide a sleek look and maximum durability. Even though the lenses are Gunnar's Signature Amber, they can change to a sunglass shade when outdoors in about 15 seconds and then back to amber after 15 minutes indoors.
Gunnar's Viscer model isn't quite here yet, as the company intends to launch this March. This particular model of goggle is reminiscent of ski/snowboard goggles in that it features a wide lens designed to prevent dry eyes by restricting airflow. Ultimately, Gunnar sees them as more appealing to the esports crowd, but they still offer something unique that everyone could benefit from.

Gunnar's Krista and Pinnacle collections offer more inclusive looks and sizes
Responding to customer feedback that most of the brand's eyewear is aimed at men, Gunnar is also launching its new Krista collection this year, which should give those who desire a more feminine look what they're looking for. The collection as a whole will launch four distinct lines over the next few months, each with its own unique look and construction, and priced at just $65.
-
Erika (February 2025): All-metal construction with a cat's eye design
-
Eileen (April 2025): Elegant and straight lines
-
Ingrid (April 2025): Rounded, form-fitting frames
-
Sophia (April 2025): Rose gold frame with rounded lenses
Customers have also given feedback on the fit of most Gunnar goggles, noting that they are generally too tight on larger heads. So Gunnar is responding in kind with Pinnacle – a royal line of glasses aimed to fit larger heads better – which is slated for June 2025.
Gunnar's Quantum and Luma collections mix style with substance
Gunnar also showcased some of its Quantum and Luma collections at CES 2025, which are some of its more stylish offerings. Dume sunglasses, as part of the Quantum collection, are inspired by Tony Stark's glasses from The Avengers and feature gold sidewalls and side shields that incorporate Gunnar's air-shielding technology into the mix. Dume is available in Gunnar's Signature Amber, Maximum Protection Amber Max and Sun.
Gunnar's Freemont and Campbell lines, which are part of the Luma collection, are both on the way again this year. These glasses have full metal frames with acetate marbled sidewalls and a small vent on the edges. Ultimately, they allow wearers to get all the benefits of a pair of Gunnar glasses while still having a rather understated look.
Overall, Gunnar CES 2025 further demonstrates its commitment to innovation, style and inclusivity, setting a new standard for the eyewear industry. Addressing consumer needs with products such as the Clear Pro and Purity collections and broadening its appeal through others such as the Krista collection, Gunnar continues to prove itself as an admirable competitor in the market. Whether it's improving visual clarity for creatives, redefining functionality for gamers, or offering designs for underserved demographics, Gunnar proves that he remains not only a trailblazer, but a leader in the industry.
