Horikoshi's Jump Festa 2025 report confirms that the story will continue
Horikoshi reveals MHA will continue
My Hero Academia had one of the biggest stages at Jump Festa 2025, and it's safe to say that the series announced quite a few interesting projects here. But the most important part that many fans may have missed was Horikoshi's own message. At the end of this report, he mentioned that My Hero Academia is to continue. Here's what Horikoshi had to say in his report.
It's December and it's gotten significantly colder now. I hope everyone is still as good as before!
My Hero Academia manga is over. Thank you for cheering me on and reading the series all these years. And even if you didn't fan me but read the manga, I'll always be forever grateful.
Ever since the manga series actually ended, I've come to love the characters a lot more than I thought I would, and it gives me a sense of emptiness to know that the series is finished.
However, I have tons of lighthearted illustrations and “shouto” (katakana for 'short) manga I'm working on at the moment, and I've been spending my blessed time doing that instead.
By “Shouto manga” I don't mean “Shouto Manga, aka Todoroki-kun manga”, I mean actual short manga panels.
I also revealed a new illustration for next year's Genga illustration exhibition, and I may be working on MORE PLUS ULTRA illustrations. I hope you enjoy them when they are revealed!
The anime also has one more season. When Season 1 aired, I honestly had no idea it would last this long. And we'll have the Vigilantes anime too! I can't wait to cheer them on with the rest of you!
Man, this message ended up looking like something I wrote in my planning book.
I really want to look back at the series and share more thoughts about it, but I think I plan to put it in the manga volumes for Vigilantes later.
Anyway, let's talk about future plans for the My Hero Academia series!
In short, My Hero Academia will still continue! Deku and the others always do their best for all of you and for me too, so I hope you'll continue to support them!
In times like these, please take care and stay PLUS ULTRA!
