How to Complete The Odds and Ends Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley (Odds and Ends Guide)
How to unlock odds and ends
To start the “Odds and Ends” quest. Disney Dreamlight Valleyyou have to finish first Merlin's quests “The Dark Castle” and “The Remembered”.. These are the last two quests in the opening part of the main story, which focuses on “The Forgetting”, where you will encounter the Forgotten in a dark version of Dreamlight Castle. After completing the “Dark Castle” quest, watching the ceremonial cutscene, and watching the credits roll, you can start “Odds and Ends” by finding and talk to Merlinwho suggests you talk to the Forgotten.
Talk to the Forgotten
The first objective in “Odds and Ends” is look how oblivion feels after what happened in “The Dark Castle” and “The Remembered.” . You can find the Forgotten standing near the Wishing Well in the Plaza. Chat with the forgotten to check off this goal that says you can visit the Dark Castle at any time. However, it's time to deal with the Orb of Remembrance first.
After completing “Odds and Ends”, the portal to the Dark Castle reappears in the same place it first appeared in the “Dark Castle” quest – to the left of the wishing well in the square. The portal is hidden until you walk past it, which triggers its appearance. You can use the portal at any time to visit the Forgotten and complete various Forgotten friendship tasksstarting with “Magic in Everything.”
Return the Orb of Remembrance to the Pillar in the Forgotten Lands
The second objective in “Odds and Ends” is return the Orb of Remembrance to the Pillar in the Forgotten Lands. You can find the pillar on the west side of the Forgotten Lands biome as shown above. Interact with the Pillar and add the Orb of Remembrance from your inventory to the Pillar to trigger a short cutscene, restoring the Pillar to its original state and showing all the Night Thorns around Dreamlight Castle finally disappearing.
Talk to Merlin
The last step is talk to Merlinwhich will tell you more about what will happen next in the Valley and the effects of what happened. For example, even though you managed to help the Forgotten and save the Vale, Merlin says that the Night Thorns will continue to spawn. Finishing the conversation with Merlin will complete the “Odds and Ends” quest and reward you 1000 friendship points.
Assuming you've already met the other prerequisites for starting Sally's questline, you should receive and letter to your mailbox which mentions some mysterious cobwebs in the castle, a clue to start Sally's quests. Of course, after checking “Odds and Ends” the main story doesn't end, as you can now progress and unlock Merlin's next quest called “Between Skull Rock and a Hard Place” by placing the Orb of Unity that appears in your inventory into the Pillar on Dazzle Beach. With so many characters and quests to complete in the Valley, there are likely many more friendship or DLC quests left in a game that is constantly evolving and growing.
