How to find a gun in Silent Hill 2

If you're observant, you can find a note that mentions neighbors complaining about a shooting in apartment 217. This is a clue, The Handgun is located in Suite 217 of the Wood Side Apartments.

Before you can grab the pistol though, you'll need to solve the puzzle in the East South Valley and find the key to the 2F corridor to get to room 217. Here's a quick guide to getting the pistol inside Silent Hill 2 remake:

1. Once in the lobby of the Wood Side Apartments, find the bulletin board and take the map. Thoroughly explore the surrounding rooms and pick up all the handgun ammo you can get your hands on.
2. When you're done, go up the stairs and go to the second floor. Enter apartment 202 and collect the flashlight key and the courtyard slide.
3. Go back down to the first floor and use the Chute Courtyard Key to unlock the door to the right of the reception desk.
4. Drag the empty laundry basket under the open window and jump through the window to apartment 112.
5. From there, enter the corridor and on the floor, opposite the bars, you will see a key. Try to grab the key and use it to unlock the nearby door. This will take you to the east wing of the building.
6. Fight the prone characters and search all the apartments in the area.
7. Continue down the corridor until you reach the other side of the bars. Pick up the 2F Hallway Key near Apartment 107. Search Room 108 and take it Golden apple handlewhich you will need later for the Coin Cabinet puzzle.
8. With the 2F corridor key in hand, go up the stairs and enter apartment 203.
9. Enter through the opening in the wall of Apartment 203 and Apartment Room 217. Here you will find a Handgun inside a shopping cart in the middle of the living room.
