While Solarpunk can be an addition to the Crafting Survival genre, it does things very differently, which makes it quite unique compared to other games in the genre. One of the main differences in this game is that you don't have to simply go to new areas and mine higher rarity ores to advance to the next stage.
If you want to progress and reach islands further away from the spawn island, you will need to interact with the Tradebot frequently and complete trades with it. This can require a lot of different items and there are different ways to get each of them. But first, it is important to understand how the trading system works.
Solarpunk is currently in Early Access and the content of this article is subject to change.
Moreover, we will update the article with more business items as we progress through the game.

Where to use plans
Trading various items using the Tradebot is the only method to obtain blueprints in Solarpunk. Blueprints are key items that can be used on the research desk directly in front of the Tradebot. This desk unlocks various items related to electronics, which allows you to automate most tasks in the game.
For example, you can have sprinklers that automatically water your crops or seeders for processing ore for you. Like a normal research desk, this one needs specific items outside of Blueprints to level up, which unlocks other items.
