How to get Morior Invictus Grand Regalia in Poe 2
Morior Invictus Grand Regalia is an exclusive drop from Arbiter Ash, the final boss of Pinnacle in the endgame Path of Exile 2. In fact, Morior Invictus is the most valuable drop from this boss, with the other uniques reducing less potential value.
Arbiter of Ashes can be fought on a burning monolith after collecting three Crisis Fragments from Atlas Citadels. Each citadel contains a boss that players will need to defeat to obtain the associated Crisis Fragment. They are:
- Iron Citadel: Count Geonor (Act 1 Boss)
- Copper Citadel: Jamanra, The Abominatinatication (Act 2 Boss)
- Stone Citadel: Doryani (Act 3 Boss)
Like Towers, Citadels can be seen from above the fogs of war covering the unexplored areas of Atlas if they are within two or three screens of the player's uncovered area. Their presence is indicated by a glowing pillar of light that slips out above the clouds.
Morior Invictus can't be messed with orb of chance because it's not part of the regular item pool, but a limited ash drop.
How the Morior Invictus Grand Regalia works in Poe 2
The reason the Morior Invictus Grand Regalia is so sought after is because of its special ability to increase a player's power based on the number of pluggable runes or soul cores in the armor set.
Unlike normal body armor which has two, Morior Invictus has at least 4 empty slots by default. Each piece also has two unique modifiers, taken from a pool of seven possible modifiers only seen on Morior Invictus. These modifiers give morior invictus an inherent scaling percentage in some player stats directly correlated to the number of socket runes or soul cores in a piece of armor.
There are seven possible unique modifiers on morior Invictus. They are:
-
+10% to all elemental resistances on the rune rim or soul core
-
10% increased global defense per rune socket or soul core
-
10% increased rarity of items found per Service Rune or Soul Core
-
5% increased max life on rune swap or soul core
-
5% increased max mana per rune socket or soul core
-
5% Increased attributes on rune swap or soul core
-
+10 to spirit per rune socket or soul core
An ideal piece of Morior Invictus armor will be damaged and Vaal Orb
gain Five Rune slots instead of four and have Two useful stat upgrades. None of the modifiers that can crop up on morior invictus are useless, but how impressive the upgrade is depends on the exact nature of the build in which it is used. The most requested modifiers on morior invictus are '+10% to all elemental resistances' As it immediately gives Body Armor a passive +40% to all elemental res (+50% if you have five slots), which is obviously incredibly useful to have.
