Agriculture in Witchspire it's starting to sound like something you'll fully ignore until you need more healing and food options. It's one of those systems that looks cute and optional, and then becomes necessary once you realize that everything useful in the game requires on-demand ingredients.
This guide describes how farming works, how to unlock it, and where to get seeds to make your little patch of land look like a little dirt food printing empire. It's simple once you click, but getting there is half the fun.
How to unlock farming
To unlock farming, you will need to progress through your Luminaires (which you can find at the top of your map). The Agricultural landspecifically they are located at to the right of this unlockable system interface. Farming is not available immediately as it is tied to early progression and base development.
Specifically, you must first unlock a small farm plot. Before it's available, yours Hearth must be upgraded to level two. Once this requirement is met, farm land unlocks will be accessible through your Luminaries progression pathwhich allows you to start farming your own resources instead of relying solely on exploration and shopping.

It sells a selection of seeds that include Wheat seeds, carrot seeds, chili seeds, and Sweet fruit seeds. These seeds are bought using Coinsso you'll need to have some currency saved up before stocking up on a proper garden.
How to farm
Once you have your farm plot built and seeds in hand, the farming loop is straightforward.
You simply interact with your farmland (which you need to place from the Build menu by pressing 'B') a select the seeds you want to plant. There is no need to water crops or maintain them manually, which keeps the system relatively relaxed compared to traditional farming mechanics in other games. after some time, your crops will grow fully and will be ready for harvest.
When you harvest them, the plant does not disappear completely. Instead, it returns to the initial growth phase and starts the cycle againallowing you to maintain a consistent production cyclewithout having to buy more seeds and replant from scratch each time.
