How to get the Sky Staff

Since Heaven's Rod is a rare late game item and a very expensive fishing tool, it will be difficult to obtain.

In order to purchase this rod, you should collect four energy crystals hidden around the new location and complete the button puzzlewhich is quite time consuming.

Collect energy crystals

Let's start by collecting the four energy crystals because you need them to unlock the hidden cave where you can buy the Heaven's Rod. To get these crystals, you should purchase some additional tools which will help you get through the North Peak, a cold and dangerous biome. Here's everything you need:

You won't be able to buy all of these tools right from the start, as they can be purchased at the various camps you'll find on your way to the top. Therefore, don't forget to carefully check each small campsite so that you don't miss any of the necessary items.

Now that we're done with the preparations, let's take a closer look at the location of each of the crystals and the specific requirements you must meet to obtain them.

Blue energy crystal

To get the Blue Energy Crystal, you should find the NPC in the cave next to the second camp you come across on your way. There you will see an ice block that contains the desired crystal. To get it, you should break the ice with a specific tool, namely a pickaxe.

To get it, you should move to the next camp where you can purchase this tool. Once you've done so, all that's left to do is return to the cave and get your first crystal.

Green energy crystal

The Green Energy Crystal is the easiest to obtain. All you have to do to get this crystal is go to the specified coordinates and talk to the NPC lying in the cave. After some small talk, this NPC will gladly give you your second crystal.

Yellow energy crystal

To get the yellow energy crystal, you should trigger an avalanche in the overgrown caves. You can do it yourself with the Avalanche Tote, or you can wait for the event to start on its own. If you don't want to waste your precious time, Avalanche Totem for C$150,000 can be found on the edge of a cliff at the following coordinates: 19711, 468, 6059.

After the avalanche collapses, go to the coordinates provided and you will find a crystal on the cliff.

Red energy crystal

Once you're done with the first three crystals, you can finally go looking for the fourth one, which is the hardest to get. To get the red energy crystal, you will need to buy it for C$250,000 from Hiker #12, located on top of the mountain in the Glacial Grotto. But before you do that, you have to complete a button puzzle. To complete it, you should find five different buttons on different islands around the world and press them. The last thing left is to buy the fishing rod itself. To find it, go to the large altar with crystal holders located at coordinates: 19986, 906, 5453. There you should insert each of the crystals into the empty space to activate the altar and open the passage to the secret cave.

Once you're done with that, equip your glider and jump down the mountain with the altar one level down to find the Cryogenic Canal where the entrance to the cave is located. Go inside and you'll see a chasm with a rope leading down. Use the rope to climb down. When you finally reach the cave, look south to see the long-awaited Heaven's Rod. finally approach and interact with it to buy it for C$1,750,000 and move it to your inventory.
