Firion joins Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy as a melee character that has quite a bit of gear. With flashy abilities and a passive that allows him to heal while using them, he's the perfect character for anyone who wants to be a front-line tank that actually deals damage.
It comes from Final Fantasy 2 and is known as Rebel Fighting for Peace. His inclusion makes sense as he helps the current crew deal with monsters and corrupted crystals in modern Tokyo. As a three-star character, he is a bit more difficult to use than others. He compensates for his trouble with his damage.

Best support abilities
-
You will want to increase Firion's overall combat power here because he can use a little bit of everything as a melee character.
-
An upgraded Embolden gives you more ATKas well as a Hasterboth great support options here.
-
You can also focus on increasing his HP more than his DEF because Firion will often tank damage on the front.
-
Whirlwind of weapons is a powerful UR because it has a wide range and several use cases. Not only can it lift opponents into the air for combo opportunities or stop them in their tracksbut it can also clear the crystal quickly.
Using it on a boss is as valuable as you can get kill an enemy team member who is cracking and easily attack the boss with it, giving you a full 9999 BP for their death when they burst.
It also acts as a a great way to quickly restore healthbecause hitting the boss and enemy will heal you since it's an ability and using it on the crystal and killing all the monsters there will also heal you. Of course it is not as good as Hope/Renew or Heal ability. Still, Vortex of Arms is a must have UR ability for Firion.
Fervid Blazer he takes a decent amount of damage from the enemy, but you'll really want to use him as a close a decent gap or deal damage. With good range, Firion can do that dash in, dealing tons of damageand follow up with another abilitysuch as Vortex of Arms, do finish them.
Chain Strike is the other one the ability to close the gap with greater range than the Fervid Blazer, but deals much less damage. It does a good job anyway combo settings opportunity.
A bloody weapon is a fantastic ability as you will be able to restore much of your health and cause damage at the same time. It should be an integral part of your comboand can be popped early if you're running low on health because it heals a lot.
If you add something like Surge, you can increase your ATK and thus the amount of damage and healing you do with Blood Weapon.
Yours combo should start with Straightarrow if you are far, then continue with Chain Strikehead to Fervid Blazer. Watch with Vortex of Arms blow up your enemy and finish them off with something like Blood Weapon as they fall down.
You can combine the settings according to what you havesuch as throwing in a Thundaga or Earth Breaker if they are too far away. Selphie/Wall and using another damage ability like Firaga works for better tracking when the enemy is falling to the ground as well.
Auron/Shooting Star is another great option if you have it ieblow the enemy up again, will allow you to follow up with Chain Strike or Fervid Blazer, depending on what you didn't use in the first combo. This can be replaced with another SR move like Firaga.
The best party tracks for Firion
-
-
- Cain – Not only can Kainn deal tons of damage, but he can stand up in one-on-one combatand can jump around the battlefield as needed. He is great at closing the distance, using the enemy Firion to throw into the skyand finishing them. It can help create a juggling act between himself and Firionboth of which launch enemies into the air.
- Cloud – Cloud does a great job completing the missing areas of the team with his melee abilities. Has a also a knock-up ability that helps ensure an enemy never hits the ground between him, Firion, and Kain. It works well here because it can cover everything that the other two lack, can jump forward and shoot enemies or hit them while knocking from Firion and complete your own combo with one of his UR abilities.
-
- Balthier -This team works well as a setup covers every base available. Baltheir can help juggle the enemy that Firion jumps back, but he can do so remotely. He is also great deals heavy damage and increases his regular attacks help dispatch the enemy. His scope allows him to see the field and move freely while Firion tackles the front line.
- Zidane – Zidane he brings speed that this team lacks. He can help fence off the enemy by letting them chase him while using his abilities steal their BPwhich will prevent them from knocking down the boss. With the right settings, it can do it share that stolen BP with Baltheir and Firion, who can then destroy the boss from two different perspectives.
