IN Sarosyou can farm resources like Lucenite and Halcyon to unlock upgrades that give Arjun unique benefits or just make him stronger. In addition to these upgrades, you'll also find other important pieces of gear, such as the mandatory Grapple for traversal.
Another of these invaluable pieces of equipment is the one that unlocks the parry system. Once you get it, there are certain projectiles you'll be able to deflect with a single button – if you're fast enough, that is of course. Let's walk through how to unlock the parry mechanic in Saros and how you can use it.
How to unlock The Parry
How you will research Blighted Marshfourth biome, you get to an area where the protagonist finds an old acquaintance: Alab. Alab will tell you that he has something for you, but he needs you activate the device next to itwhich builds a bridge.
To do so, you must explore the only available path, at the bottom until you will find a tower to climb. After defeating every creature blocking the way, it's time to climb the tower.
At the top you will find device you can communicate withand then the portal you need to use.
You will return to the small camp where you found Alab. Interact with him again and with the bridge device next to him and he will reward you parry upgrade.
How to use Parry
So far, whenever you've been before Nova Projectiles (the red ones), you had no more chance than to run and try to escape them. If you used your shield it would break and if you flew through them you would still take damage. This changes with the Parry ability.
Whenever a red projectile approaches you, press R1 right before he hits you as if you were going to punch himand you repel it. This mechanic has tight timing, but you should definitely practice it as much as possible. Start with turrets that only drop a few of them quickly, or enemies that drop a few but at a slow pace.

Once you begin to understand the deflection system, yyou will have an action for each type of projectile thrown at youso you always have something to do: shield for blue projectiles, dash for yellow and parry for Nova Projectiles.
