Jujutsu Kaisen recently ended. Here's how it went in the last few chapters.

Now that JJK concluded, fans can look back on this character and see for themselves how the end of his journey was handled and whether or not it was done well. The Final Arc proved to be incredibly pivotal to Yuji Itadori's character and showed growth that fans didn't expect from him. Yuji definitely lived up to all expectations and even exceeded them in many ways. In the end, Yuji became the savior of Jujutsu society and now carries a heavy burden on his shoulders.

Yuji Itadori's growth in the Shinjuku Showdown has been astounding

  • Yuji Itadori gained several abilities before the Shinjuku showdown
  • Yuji awakened a new cursed technique

Yuji Itadori was never the most charismatic or powerful character. It can be said that even at the end of the series, Yuji is far from the most interesting character, which reflects well on his popularity across the many polls held in Japan. However, that doesn't mean Yuji isn't a good character. Yuji always steps in when needed and fans have seen this in many major arcs of the series. Fans saw Yuji reach unprecedented levels of power in the Shibuya Incident Arc, and if that wasn't enough, Yuji continued to grow later and reach even higher levels of power. In Culling, Yuji showed durability and a great growth rate, but it was nothing compared to what he was able to do in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. It's safe to say that before Showdown Shinjuku started, Yuji's time jump was significant. During the timeskip, Yuji trained tirelessly and reached a higher level of strength.

Did this brat just use a reverse cursed technique? – Sukuna

Yuji was seen training with three people in particular. These three people were Yuta Okkotsu, Kusakabe and of course Gojo. Little is known about how Yuji and Yuta trained. However, since Yuta is incredibly skilled at using the cursed energy, fans are sure to know that it helped him grow tremendously stronger. At the same time, Yuta and Yuji were fighting against Sukun together, so maybe this training saw them using techniques together more than anything else. However, Yuji's training against Kusakabe proved to be incredibly important. In this training, he learned the power of a simple domain that ultimately saved his life and gave him a huge boost, allowing him to win the battle against Sukuna for good.

At the same time, Yuji also ended up eating Death Paintings number 4 to 9. This gave him access to Blood Manipulation and helped him heal effectively, although he is still struggling to properly use the advanced power of the cursed Blood Manipulation technique.

Yuji's shrine helped him gain ground against Sukuna

Yuji Itadori also grew tremendously in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. In this particular segment of the story, Yuji showed all the abilities he gained during the timeskip, such as Reverse Cursed Technique and Simple Domain in addition. In addition, he also gained new powers during this battle. The most significant of these powers was the cursed Shrine technique he awakened. The shrine was carved into Yuji's body because Sukuna had taken up residence within him. As Gojo could see with his Six Eyes, Yuji was basically powered by Sukuna's cursed energy and this gave him access to his cursed technique. It was awakened after a powerful black flash struck against Sukun, and from then on Yuji combined the shrine's slicing and dicing powers with his soul damage ability.

That's right, Sukuno! I can kill you! – Yuji Itadori

Yuji essentially created a version of soul slicing and slicing, and these techniques proved decisive in the battle against Sukuna. If all that wasn't enough, Yuji also developed a domain extension right at the end, which worked mysteriously, to say the least. Fans didn't understand how Yuji was able to conjure up all the places from his memories in the domain, but it all matters little because at the end of things, Yuji simply unleashed a Soul Splitting Dismantle at Sukuna, followed by a powerful black flash. . This was the final blow to the King of Curses and he finally defeated him for good. After defeating Sukuna, he was ripped from Megumi's body and Yuji was declared the winner.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The New Strongest Wizard After the Shinjuku Showdown Explained

With Gojo and Sukuna dead at the end of the Showdown Shinjuku arc, which wizard is currently the strongest in JJK?

Surprisingly, Yuji tried to save Sukuna one more time. He gave him one more chance to start over, but Sukuna stuck to his words until the very end and died as a curse. This was the end of the King of Curses, while it was a new beginning for Yuji, as he reached a new level of power and continued down the path of power to save his loved ones.

After the battle against Sukuna ended, the Culling Games were also ended. Plus, fans got to see the wizards reunited. The order was changed once they dealt with all the higher ones, especially those who monopolized the simple domain. Meanwhile, the Jujutsu Society began to reform and Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara all went about their mission as usual. They continued to deal with threats every day and showed that even though Gojo is no longer around, they are there to take responsibility.

Fans also saw a very touching flashback in the last chapter JJK between Yuji and Gojo. Gojo essentially handed over his dream to Yuji, knowing that he was the only one capable of carrying the burden. Gojo suggested to Yuji that she forget about him and gain a new kind of power that would be necessary for him to follow the treacherous path of becoming a powerful sorcerer. However, Yuji's answer filled Gojo with even more confidence as he said that he would never be able to forget him and that he would still continue to do what he does best. Gojo then told him that he expected great things from him and this basically marked the point where Gojo's dream became Yuji's dream and Gojo could leave the world of Jujutsu without fear. It was basically Gojo's goodbye message to Yuji, and it was perfect in so many ways.

After Gojo's death, Yuta and Yuji are now the most powerful wizards in the world. Yuji obviously has higher potential, but right now Yuta remains the strongest. Still, Yuji's ending was definitely a good one, especially as fans saw him inspire newer cursed energy users to follow in his footsteps and become useful to society.

The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
