Kylie Jenner is known for many things. She is part of the Kardashian clan, a reality TV star, has her own cosmetics line and has hundreds of millions of followers on social media. One thing she is not known for is being a player.
Sure, she's been digging up mobile games on her TikTok account and referencing them in interviews, but that's definitely not one of her defining personality traits.
However, this may change and she may be entering her gamer era, as in the episode Therapuss (??), she articulately explains the plot of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, even as she alludes to the names of the Divine Beasts.
Kylie Jenner is currently playing (and loving) The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
I confess. I don't know much about Kylie Jenner. In fact, this video may be the first time I've heard her speak. However, it is about to launch one of my favorites and one of the best games of all time, Breath of the Wild, so it makes a good first impression.
In an interview with someone named Jake Shane on the Netflix show Therapuss (again, I've never heard of any of these things), Jenner explains the beginning of Breath of the Wild's story.
“Zelda is like one of the best games,” he begins in the clip shared by Netflix, before making a bit of a slip in the next sentence. He explains, “You are Link. 100 years ago there was a great war with the Fantastic Beasts.” After a quick refresher on the fact that they are actually Divine Beasts, he apologizes to “all the Zelda fans out there”.
“I've kind of conquered one of the Divine Beasts. I'm on my second beast,” she continues before returning to the plot. “You're Link and you're trying to save the world. And Princess Zelda, even though it's 100 years later, she's still doing well in the castle.”
“You want to get to Princess Zelda. Did they fall in love? I don't know. There's a lot of flashbacks. It's the hardest… You could be on that game… I played for days and hours. You're basically trying to get to Princess Zelda to save her. The divine beasts were really on our side, but then Gandorf took over [Ganondorf].”
It's a surprisingly accurate description of the game's opening hours, and she seems genuinely enjoying it. She even started researching the memories hidden around the world.
Since seeing the clip, I've been told that Jenner is currently dating well-known gamer and former ModdedController360 YouTube host Timothée Chalamet. Given his history with games, it's likely he put it in Breath of the Wild. I wonder if they will be first in line for The Legend of Zelda movie.
